The ATF is a gunwalking mess anyway. Their massive failures are well-documented.

The topic came up when Stern asked about his plans to direct a film based on a book about the uprising in the Warsaw ghetto during the Holocaust, but used it as a basis to explain his feelings on guns.
'It's not a Holocaust story as much as it is Jews with guns. It's my whole philosophy. It's the idea that when injustice is that great you can't just march into the camps,' he said.
'I never want to have a gun... This is when you're marching a half a million people into Auschwitz. I'd find a gun if that was happening to my people.'

So he never wants a gun, until he needs one....

What a great quote to use to back up your standpoint on gun violence. What a shmuck.

Yeah, I'm sure the only reason 6 millions Jews died in the Holocaust is because none of them were as smart as Mr. Weinstein....

Imagine how much easier it would have been though if the kid would have made a movie that destroyed the firearm industry.

Probably would have saved a good deal of time.

He said that his intention is to make the movie such a condemnation of the use of guns in America that the ammunition industry would take a noticeable hit afterwards.
Weinstein said that people will be leaving the movie theater thinking 'Gun stocks — I don’t want to be involved in that stuff'.

I think this goes to show how out of touch this guy is with reality. Every time some type of gun-related tragedy happens, people make a run on guns and ammo. His film will have no effect on the gun industry but rather galvanize the people in his corner as well as galvanize his opposition. This is a statement film for him to parade in front of his liberal Hollywood buddies to show that he's part of the club.

The Nazis made that nearly impossible since they had gun registration followed by gun confiscation.

That was pretty much the point of my post. If you look at the picture I posted it's a nice example of what gun control really does. It allows one group (the government) to have guns and keeps another group (civilians) from owning guns. Thus the group without guns (civilians) live totally at the mercy of the group with guns (government).

fricking LOL. Movies that glorify guns and violence that Harvey has produced include:

Django Unchained (executive producer)
Inglourious Basterds (executive producer)
Killshot (executive producer)
Rambo (executive producer)
Death Proof (executive producer)
Sin City (executive producer)
Pulp Fiction (co-executive producer)
The Road Killers (executive producer)

Fatass had no problem raking in the dough from those movies (and more). The hypocrisy makes me want to punch him in his fat face.

Something tells me Pulp Fiction would have been a bit of a let down with the guns. If you're so against them, why are you making millions of dollars as a producer of movies with so much gun violence. "Do as I say, not as I do".

Hollywood idiots.

Meh. No one should care about this. Streep is a has been. If her name is attached to this, the movie will go nowhere.

The douchebag who said a shuttle in "Yew-stun" made no sense and that we didn't deserve one.

Specifically, this quote...

quote:

"I say to Houston, when people all around the world, in London and in Tokyo and in Paris, Buenos Aires say 'Gee, I can't wait for my trip to Houston,' then you can have a shuttle," said Schumer.

Nevermind that Mission Control for the Shuttle Program was based here and that many of the astronauts involved called Houston home... dick.

In all of this "Liberal Hollywood" blah blah blah bullshite, I just wonder this: Why doesn't "Conservative Hollywood" make any movies?

Why haven't the Koch Brothers Executive Produced the movie adaptation of "The Turner Diaries"?

How about "Trump: A Life"?

What about a slam piece about PETA? They should be an easy target, huh?

I know, a movie set in the San Francisco bath houses in the 80s showing that promiscuous homosexuals only have themselves to blame for the AIDS epidemic.

Surely there is an audience for good old fashioned liberal bashing, no?

Excuses I won't buy: No money; no actors willing; no distributors willing.
