HANNA (Amazon Prime)

This show could have been so much more, but the bungled plot and insistence of preserving weak main characters ruined any chance of a positive review from me. Again, the premise was cool but they completely wihiffed on storyline and character development. I watched it until the bloody end.
Hanna 5.7/ 10

Loved the movie so I'm going to try it. Hopefully you are wrong but I fear it will be drug out so I suspected this already.

The previews made it look kind of boring considering the potential

I actually enjoyed it. I thought the girl who played Hanna was solid, and enjoyed her relationship with Joel Kinnaman’s character for the most part. I also enjoyed the Karen O/Yeah Yeah Yeahs soundtrack. My biggest criticism is that it does drag a bit in parts, but ultimately that didn’t keep me from enjoying it.
Now, without giving anything away, I’m not sure how much I’ll enjoy season 2, considering where they leave us after this first season.

Had lots of potential but it just seemed to circle around and even though I thought the last episode was pretty good I agree with previous posts. I did stick it out all the way because of the chance it was going to get good. I’m not even sure what the end game for the bad guys was.

Only 2 episodes in...and I couldn't help but think things like:
- She is living deep in the woods in hostile country...amazing that she and her dad were able to get her perfectly fitting clothes (as she has grown) with top notch synthetic materials without going to the outside world.
- The cave they were living in had a lot of finished lumber in it. I couldn't imagine how they got it there with out a vehicle, and assembled it all without a lot of supplies from the outside.
There were more questions...with a lot of plot holes, I lost interest. It's a shame because I really wanted to like this series.

Like this show, but I must be taking crazy pills because I think Joel Kinnaman is a horrific actor in everything he's in, but especially bad with the accent in this.
Thought the Hanna girl is good and the red head CIA woman is good. Would've liked more violence, though, tbh. There were too many episodes where Hanna was trying to act like a normal teenager with love interests and shite. And I don't care about the family experiencing marital problems and girl she befriends. That storyline sucked.

I just assumed Joel Kinnaman made a lot of treks to the fringe of society and got stuff.
Also there was a lumber operation nearby, that could explain the wood maybe.

I liked the series ok, but this is where they lost me a bit. It was trying to be too many things at once, a spy thriller, a teenage girl coming of age story and a family drama etc.

Yeah I would just say save your time and watch the movie. I am going to finish the show but really nothing interesting has happened.
The cast for the movie is just so much better I guess I should have not really expected that much from the show.

Was boring in the middle episodes.
I almost stopped watching but I finished.
Won't bother with season 2 if one is made.

It kept me interested enough to finish the season, but I won't watch another if it is made.

It wasn't bad, but I FF through most of the Enos scenes in ep 6 & 7, it was just too frikking boring.

I watched the first 5 or 6 episodes and I like it so far.
They nailed the casting on the girl and the cia lady looks so weird with that short haircut.
It reminds me of the movie some

Very "meh" for me atm.
I'm not done with it yet. Watched the first 3 episodes and thought I was hooked. Then episode 5 just complete threw me off. Awful. Thought I was watching Pretty Little Liars or some nonsense. I'm sure I'll finish the season at some point, but...man did it drop off a cliff in a hurry.

I have trouble enjoying most shows for the same type reasons you listed.

Often it comes down to lazy writing or production.

I hear "yo, Linden" whenever I see that dude. I don't know if I can watch this.

Saw the pilot when it debuted, and finally got around to watching the rest of S1. I will keep watching next year, but was disappointed in the way S1 ended.
A few thoughts on it:
I may be alone, but I like the way they are taking the time to develop all of the main characters.
The Indian girl's dad has become a very likable, sympathetic figure for me.
The other dad, who did the driving is the best man in the show.
When the Indian girl cleaned Hanna up, she should have cut her hair. She looks hideous, and it's not realistic for her to have Nija vision with it in the way.
When she gets completely off of the meds, and transitions into society, I hope the black girl calms down a little. She's way too intense now.

Is the red haired lady staying with the agency so she is inside it to make it easier to shut down what they are doing? She didn't take a bullet just to get the job back, did she?
I hope they don't make next season about them fighting all of the other trainees. I wish they kill all of them except for maybe the two that have tension already. Wouldn't mind seeing the blonde kill the other girl that ratted out 250, and joining the good guys.
