Watched it tonight with my daughter, who was locked in the entire movie. She thought spider Groot was hilarious.

All the feels with this movie. Excellent.

I rewatched GoG 3 for the first time since opening weekend. I think it is a good movie (I really do) but it isn’t nearly as rewatchable as the other two for me. The stuff with the animals is a tough watch for me and I liked the light hearted nature of the other movies better.

I just finished it and this was the best of the 3 imo. I normally don't get emotional from movies but the two things guaranteed to get me are animals and kids being mistreated. This movie felt like it was made to try to make me cry in front of my wife. My head hurts from fighting the lump in my throat the whole damn time.
Chukwudi Iwuji killed it as the High Evolutionary. Hopefully we see him again in some capacity because it would be a shame to only use that character once. Usually villains with no redeeming qualities or relatable motivations are boring but he pulled it off. Even villains like Thanos and Joker had reasons that made you think "I mean he's technically not wrong" but High Evolutionary was just unhinged, yet he never overstayed his welcome on screen.
My issue with Kang was the entirety of his character depth was "he's an a-hole and he conquers. Got it." Even though High Evolutionary's goal of creating the perfect society was purely for personal achievement with no regard for life, it was enough to make him interesting without just being the bad guy bc the movie needs one.

This is where I’m at. I rank them 1,2 and 3 but they’re all very good.
I’m probably the same but they’re interchangeable depending on the mood.
If anything, they’re the best arc of any multi movie series from the MCU. 0 drop off in quality between them.
Captain America was pretty close but civil war fell pretty flat to me.

Just watched it on D+.
It's funny; this is just SO much better than anything else the MCU has put out, basically since Endgame. Maybe because it's giving us completion of a known story instead of continuing to throw things at the wall and hope it works, but it had so much more life than the other films.
Like everyone else has commented- it hits the emotions. If you aren't moved by the plight of the animals, you have no ability to feel anything. When little Rocket says "hurts", looking at the others in the cages... awwww
And I also liked Cosmo's reaction to Kraglin saying "bad dog"

Bonus scenes have him surviving/being spared by the Guardians. He'll be back.

3 is the best and probably the best thing Marvel has done since Endgame outside of Loki.
Agreed
MCU fricked up letting Gunn go

The rocket back story was the best part of the movie

Perfectly good movie, but it didn’t seem to click like the first two.
Not sure why, I don’t have a specific complaint.
