A lot of the examples listed aren't crazy, they're psychopaths or have other personality disorders.

The guy who played Gen. Jack D. Ripper in Dr. Strangelove definitely deserves serious consideration. His is the kind of seriously crazy who appears to be functional that we rub shoulders with every day.

that character is terrifyingly crazy, like dont turn your back to her crazy and what makes it more scary is she is brilliant and seductive.
