Nope, they'll take 5 years to make the next season just to pay homage to GRRM

At this point the guy can't be writing anymore. Severe writer's block and he just gave up?

I choose to think he is just lazy. A horrible, lazy fricking person who can't bring himself to actually dedicate the time to finish it.

I've lost all confidence that he will finish this book before he dies, much less A Dream of Spring.

He's made too much money and has become lazy...I am glad that D&D said "frick it" and are going full steam ahead.

Ok, so they will be filming in Seville in the medieval Royal Shipyards, in the Roman ruins of Italica in Santiponce in the amphitheater, and in Cordobain the Castillo de Almodovar del Rio (which is a 1300-year-old Muslim castle). So it sound like to me that Dany's armada will be landing in Dorne, at least Spain is where they normally shoot the Dorne scenes.

So here is where the possible spoiler comes in. I got these from Watchers on the Wall: LINK

There had been rumors of a big battle being shot in Malpartida, Spain. But now instead of it being a battle, rumor is it will be more of an ambush...a very large ambush.

quote:

They describe a scene involving wagons with goods traveling from a castle (inserted with CGI), attacked by enemy soldiers. While that doesn’t sound overwhelming, Game of Thrones has scheduled 500 extras for filming in Malpartida, a very large number for the show. For comparison, GoT used that many extras for the entire shooting of the Battle of the Bastards.

quote:

There’s another chunk of info concerning the Malpartida shooting: the new report says that we can expect to see at least one Lannister in the fray. Previous information learned from the extras casting process tells us that we can expect the involvement of Unsullied soldiers and Dothraki warriors, and so the presence of Tyrion is almost a given at this point. L7R has heard, though this is not confirmed, that the conflict there will involve Tyrion and one of his siblings.

Los Siete Reinos has also heard details about a scene that sounds exciting. The scene planned for shooting in nearby Los Barruecos, around the watery territory there, will involve a major character falling into the water.

That most definitely is not confirmed.

Ned Stark was about 36 when he was beheaded, and around 19-20 when he was at the Tower of Joy w Howland Reed (roughly the same age - 3 years older). In the show, the High Sparrow is an elderly man in his 60's-70's.

It's fairly obvious that HR is not the HS.

yea, but there's magic in the air that he could have used to age himself. He is the head swamp man. Who the frick knows what the reeds do out there.

How do we know Stark's age at the time of his death? I thought he and Robert were close in age and Robert looked pretty old.

We know because their DOB and DOD are both available. Granted, the show manipulates facts from the books to their creative choices, so anything really is possible. However, in the TOJ flashbacks, it is pretty obvious that Howland Reed is correctly aged according to the books and information given by George RR Martin.

Eddard Stark - born 263 AC and died 299 AC (assuming years, so he was 36 when he died).

Howland Reed - born in or between 260-265 AC, making him 35-40 at the current point in the story.

Lyanna Stark died in 283 AC, making Eddard and Howland 20 and 18-23 respectively at that point in time. The end of the 5th book ADWD dates at 300 AC, so at that point HR is 35-40 years old.

Lots of that info has been made available through appendix info and World of Ice and Fire, which is a fricking sweet book. The artwork alone is reason enough to get it.

High sparrow is dead. I believe howland is alive and well back home and he will be reunited with his daughter this season and he will reveal the truth about jon to jon and thats how we get the flashback to the forbidden love that was rhaegar and lyanna.

Emilia Clarke just posted a video on her Instagram of her in Northern Ireland with the wig on. Guess that means she makes it into northern Westeros?

And it looks like Arya and Lady Mormont will probably be together in the North at some point since they were photoed using the same makeup trailer in full Northern costumes. I'd love to see the both of them together, dressing down the other lords of the North.
