LOL. "Arya's really good at killing people. That's a bit worrisome."

Swordfighting comes down to quickness and having the power to make the blow count when you strike the opponent.
Barbarians had those giant broadswords too and were larger than the Romans but still got beat.

So he obviously receives word that Bran made it back to Winterfell - probably by Raven. I wonder if he learns Arya is back, as well?

Why? Look at the world she lives in. The impressive part is she has become a masterful killer while actually retaining a sense of morality or ethics.

Yeah I haven't read the books but I've done enough research to know that Jon is prolly never going to be Jamie Lannister with a sword. More like a better version of Ned. Capable of surviving and killing most average and above average Knights but not much more. It's entirely possible for him to get better in the books, though.
But based off what he's done in the show, I'd put him in the top 5. Not above the Hound or Ser Barristan or a healthy and whole Jamie. But he'd take Tormund and Brienne to the wire.
I'm guessing GRRM is trying to make Jon a better version of what Ned was.

Also, did anyone catch what army Dany was telling to bend the knee or die in the previews? I couldn't make out any sigils or markings.
Pretty sure it's whatever is left of the army she just butt raped. That's my guess. Especially after what she said about not wanting to murder anyone.

guess was she was talking to people in the North.
Really? I took it as her talking to survivors of the field of fire. Maybe bronn/Jaime/dickoff

Yup. They look dirty, burned, and beaten.
However, all is not lost for Lannisters. Bulk of army was probably inside King's Landing. When they have time to regroup and think, they will realize the scorpion did work, it just wasn't used quite as effectively as it could have been. They should have had at least half a dozen of them and then used poisoned bolts. Q will figure that out when he analyzes the battle.

Jon Snow is still pretty much a kid in the books and is still pretty much one in the show. He's still learning. And already has the reputation in the show of being the best.
And Shark, I don't ever remember Mance whipping Jon's arse in the books.

Tarly said the army was spread too thin so I don't think the bulk was in KL already. Plus they were out there trying to get food. Which leads to the problem of KL running short of food.

I get the feeling that Bran's going to do some talking with his siblings, and Sansa's going to tell Arya to put LF on her list.
Once Arya learns that Littlefinger betrayed Ned, Sansa won't have time to start getting the words out of her mouth before Arya's making a beeline for Littlefinger's jugular.
Arya would be gone after Littlefinger so fast that Sansa would just be talking to an Arya shaped hole in the air.
Also, did Arya know about Catelyn and Robb? During my second watch, I caught the line when she's at the gates of Winterfell and is told that Lady Stark is in charge and she asks 'which Lady Stark'. I don't understand that if anyone can fill me in.
EDIT: DUMB frickING QUESTION. Of course, Arya knows about Catelyn and Robb. She did murder all the Freys, didn't she?
Still, why'd she ask which Lady Stark was in charge? Robb's wife was a Lady Stark, but if Arya knows about Catelyn and Robb getting whacked at the Red Wedding, she'd know about Talisa, too. Bran and Rickon wouldn't have been married, so the only possibility that Arya had for Lady Stark would have been Sansa, right? So, why ask?

Littlefinger's, before he lost it to Tyrion on a bet.
Robert's. Jofferey stole it from Robert's weapons stash and paid the cutthroat to kill Bran.
The story that Littlefinger told Cat about losing it in a bet to Tyrion was a lie to cause more chaos by pitting the Starks against the Lannisters.

Dude, he's definitely on their level.
I admitted that the book may cloud my judgement somewhat, but no fricking way is he on the Hound or Barristan's level. The Hound is vicious as shite but also strangely composed and Jaime considered both the Hound and Barristan in his 60s as being the only people capable of taking him.
Barristan is in his 60s, and Jaime considers it very possible that Barristan could beat him as arrogant as he is. Jon is by no means at their level, even from what the show has shown us.

Well... Jon wasn't aware at the time either. That's as far as I'm willing to say with the Hodors here.

I'm actually rewatching it now.

Am I off in wondering why Jaime had the scorpion with him traveling? Wouldn't it be left in KL for an expected attack? Or are we assuming they have more than one? I just thought it strange that they would carry it knowing it was needed to protect KL from a dragon attack.
