Outside of the incest and throwing Bran out the window to cover for it, what has he done?

Well, there is one other thing that he was going to do on Cersei's behalf: kill Arya. Fortunately Ned's men found her first which prevented that. Throwing Bran out the window can be somewhat morally defended because if Bran told Ned what he saw (and he almost certainly would) then he, Cersei, and their children, along with possibly Tyrion are all dead and then Tywin would start a war with Robert.

Killing Arya served no purpose but getting Cersei wet. I think that's his most vile act is agreeing to murder an innocent girl for no real reason. Aside from this one instance and the incest, Jaime is the character I agree with most and think along the lines in my own head.

Gendry was still a bastard, so Stannis was the rightful heir.

I thought it was determined that who the momma was didn't matter when determining succession. Robert's first born son is Robert's first born son.

Assuming Gendry was Robert's first born son. Who knows what other kids he has littered across the Seven Kingdoms. Hell, he probably has one in the Summer Isles too.

I'm ready for things to really pick up this ep. Although I think it's one more "setup" episode, we should still see more action.

I'm not a fan of the geography/timeline issues that have come up since last year. It's a little annoying as a book reader and understanding where things are located.

No he's not. He's a still a bastard and most people don't know he even exists.

On IMBD it has Gendry appearing again. So I'm guessing the guy with the war hammer seen in the trailer is probably him.

It definitely matters. That's why the Blackfyre Rebellion was such a big thing is that Aegon the Unworthy legitimized all his bastards on his death bed, which put them in the actual line of succession and started the Rebellion. I guess Dany could legitimize him, but I don't see why she would.

I think that is in reference to another Queen.

That would be nearly half the season as set up. From the trailers and previews, I'm thinking we get at least Casterly Rock this episode. Not sure if we'll also get to see Jamie in action also but perhaps.

Yep, and I think the justice is going to be incredibly brutal towards the remaining Sand Skanks. I don't see them making it out of this episode alive.

I cannot and will not accept unrealistic portrayals on the proper supplying of armies

Yeah, they can only let that slide so much. In season 6 when the knights of the Vale rode to the rescue of Jon's army in Battle of the Bastards, it was like a big surprise. Any pre-industrial army is going to be surrounded by a hoard of foragers. No way would it be a big surprise.

Right now I thought that maybe the Dothraki were somewhere on the mainland being supplied by Tyrell wheat.

I highly doubt it is. The worst part of the show is how much it has changed Jaime's character arc.

I think his character arc in the show is great. He'll turn on Cersei as well.

Yeah, that is why Star Trek is totally ruined forever by the fricks that took over that franchise.

He's finally coming around, but when Jaime got his hand cut off he became very disenchanted with Cersei to the point of totally despising and being disgusted by her. He's not in murderous mode yet in the books, but he's getting there.

Losing his hand and interacting with Brienne turned his character around. It took him a while to get there with Cersei, and the driving force behind it was left out of the show.

I've read some of the books, but not all, so I'm neither a Hodor nor a Maester. Does that make me a Samwell?

I think if you know a decent amount of the World of Ice and Fire you're a Maester. Though whether you're a Hodor or Maester doesn't really matter now.

What do ya'll think the Varys/Mel discussion shown in the promotion stills will be?

Only thing I could see that would be something exciting is if she somehow also knows what was said to him in the flames like that red priestess chick in Essos. I guess maybe it could be common knowledge among the high level red priestesses or something?
