Jorah basically tried to infect Sam with Greyscale one day then not too lon later they are just chilling in the room with him?

I don't think he tried to infect Sam. He just reached out to grab him to get his attention. Guy's probably been sitting in that cell for a month and got tired of waiting.

Speaking of which - was that fairly large room he was in in Ep. 2 the same "cell" with the door with the small opening that he reached through in Ep. 1? It sure seemed like it and it kind of surprised me as I thought it would be like a 6x6 cell or something.

I still don't know why Jorah matters at this point.

I mean if being touched by someone with Greyscale results in an infection, then reaching out to grab seems like an attempt to infect him. I don't think he is being truly malicious, but why would you put yourself in that same room after that?

Disagree, I forget about the books but in the show they make a point two different times of mentioning Tarly is the only commander that ever beat Robert.

While it may have been true, Ned and Jon Arryn were never defeated by anybody in battle. Robert and Randyl met one time and that was at the Battle of Ashford, Jon and Ned weren't even there. And actually, that battle is considered indecisive because Robert got away with the bulk of his force.

In Latin, there are gender neutral endings but they would have either a singular or plural ending, so I doubt this is true

That theory may be a stretch, but why would Latin have anything to do with it? Were the languages in Westoros romance languages based on Latin?

I think she very much believes that Jon is tPtwp.

She might think Jon is AA and Dany is Nissa nissa

Has Nissa Nissa been mentioned on the show? If not, I don't see that part of the prophecy playing a part in the end of the story.

This, plus she has become more careful in how she interprets prophecies. I still think she knows that Jon is the one but that Dany will still have an important role to play with her dragons.

I think that's the episode that's only going to be like 50 minutes long. I could see the short run time being an indication of setup or something dramatic happening.

I didn't realize this until my rewatch last night, but Euron's men were cutting the tongues off of them to be silent similar to Euron's crew from the books.

I honestly don't blame Theon for literally jumping ship--they were defeated and Euron wasn't going to kill Yara at that point anyway. Makes more sense for Theon to peace out and plan a rescue later. Plus he has bad PTSD. I don't think what he did was out of character at all.

It's described as no longer being used as a language of everyday communication, but rather as a language of learning and education among the nobility of Essos and Westeros with much literature and song composed in Valyrian.

Sounds a lot like Latin to me.

In the show, it's definitely used conversationally in Essos. Maybe low Valyrian more than high Valyrian, but it's used. It is used in the books as well, but they also include other local languages.

High Valyrian is used by the Red Preists for communication and Daenerys speaks it (when she took over the Unsullied) but it's somewhat rare.

I just assumed it would be patterned after Latin due to many of it's characteristics.

I actually think it would be a reasonable ending to his story if he takes his life. I assume they will try to give him another shot at redemption, though.

Would be fine never seeing Theon again.

I can see him stabbing a bad guy in the back like a bitch then offing himself.

It seemed to be the de facto language of Slaver's Bay, IIRC.

Mylod is directing this next episode as well. I hope he's done with the show after this.
