Hardhome came out of nowhere so it has a legit case for #1 to me. But this was every bit as great.
Blackwater would have to bein my top 3 as well. Season 4 was the most consistently great season overall IMO, with all of the episodes at around a 9/10, but I don't think it had an episode that rivals Hardhome, Bastards and Blackwater. Reigns of Castemere is another great one for obvious reasons.

Season 4 was definitely the best as a whole IMO, the last two seasons have had amazing episodes but spent much of the season setting up those episodes. I think of the 10 least exciting episodes in the series, 6 or 7 have come in the last two seasons.

Jon's a great fighter, but he needs to leave the battle tactics to Davos or Sansa.
The guy had a clear plan but lost his head when he saw his brother killed. It would be hard for anyone to not lose their cool in that moment. But also, he was in range of their arrows by then, if he flew back with his horse there was a chance he was going to end up like Rickon.
However, he does need to be more level headed. But then again, If Ramsay was on the ground fighting in the chaos without his horse, he wouldn't have been making such great battle orders. Jon needs to improve there. He's a hell of a warrior, but he needs to take a page out of Ned's book and start being more of a strategiest

I've figured out the change that has made Jon snow turn into this mythical level fighter. It's the mam bun. Nobody fricks with Jon snow and his man bun.

I wonder how many of Ramsay's men Jon and company actually killed before the Vale swooped in.

So what exactly has Davos thought happened to Shireen? Did he think she died in battle?
Pretty sure he figured out what happened to her when he found the deer in the middle of the remains of a huge pyre.

Did anyone else like how they put a few extra arrows in Rickon to shut people up?

anybody have a gif of the long uncut scene with Jon in the battlefield and crazy shite just happening all around him? because that was an amazing shot, especially for TV

he knows Mel likes to burn people, so he probably has a good idea

Due to spoiler leaks, I had a good idea of what was going to happen, and I was still blown away.

Don't tell me what exactly, but have there been any leaks for Episode 10? I haven't heard any rumors going on from that episode yet.

Also, did Sansa actually hear Ramsay say he hadn't been feeding his dogs? I thought she left before that.
Not that it matters, since somebody could have easily told her about that.

I believe there are a couple things that have been leaked, but for the most part the spoilers are done.

Sansa solidified her place in the legend of the Stark House by saving the day and closing out Ramsey herself
LF ain't messing with Jon now, Jon knows he can't die and we just saw him go BEASTMODE
I have one question aboout last night. The episode was awesome.
Sansa was yelling at Jon for not having enough men, and that he didn't know ramsay, etc. Why withold the info about the Vale and LF from Jon and let him march into certain death? I have to think it was for TV suspense effect but why let Jon and all those men march to their deaths when you had the LF card in your pocket and NOT tell Jon about it?

maybe she knew Jon would act differently or Ramsey would somehow find out and then Ramsey wouldn't send all of his forces and retreat back into Winterfell

Because strategy.
Either one of two things happens. A: Jon waits for Ramsey to attack, Ramsey commits all of his superior force, the Vail rides in from their flanks and slaughters them.
B: Exactly what you saw.
I think Sansa knew Jon is passionate and would not be able to restrain himself from the rage attack you saw. So she let Ramsey be Ramsey and then set them up perfectly for the counterattack.
I've said before I only read the first two books, but the Hodor thread is a joke, so I come here for my PBP. I don't know all the ends and outs, but I don't see a conflict between Jon and Sansa. Jon has no desire to be king, and Sansa wanted her family's home back. I have a feeling that there are going to be a lot of Northmen that want Jon Snow as the Warden of the North. Going to be interesting to see how Littlefinger handles himself.
