My biggest question is...what in the fricks are the Starks gonna say now that winter is upon us? "Winter is here" is what they said last night so I guess that's it?
I don't know for an action hero one liner, Jon kicking in a door a going "Winter's here" works pretty well.
Or even better (they can't do it because of prophecy)
Cersei gets a message from the new Maester, reads it, says aloud "Winter's here" flash to master peeling off his face a jabbing a rapier into her chest "It already arrived" .

I honestly don't think LF tries to kill Jon. I think it's more subtle and he tries to play Sansa against Jon.
She was smiling when Jon was named King of the North but then she looked at LF and her smile faded. There's doubt there, which sucks. I have a feeling Sansa is going to end up ruling Winterfell after Jon's parentage is revealed which is also going to suck.
But for now I want to enjoy this moment of Jon being The King of the North.

The death count was a lot higher than I expected. You have to think most people in that Sept were Lords and Ladies. Kevan Lannister was in their as well.
But Oleana escaped and the Tyrrell army is one of the few not decimated.

I thought her lips dropped as soon as they said king in the north. Easy to see why that would bother her. She's a stark, he's not. And she won the battle.

I still don't understand the thought behind the Tarly plot.
"I'm going to r-u-n-n-o-f-t with the family sword, then go exactly where I told them I was going."
This better no have some dumb Harry Potter ending shite like Sam taking out the Night King with the family sword.

He is the last true born son of Eddard Stark and the true born lord of Winterfell. Why the frick has no one said anything?
They had to hide FDR's braces in 1930s America, you think they're tossing aside a mythical hero for a kid who can't walk that no one has seen in years.

That was Ned's sword you twit.
No it wasn't it was Daynes sword it pans to the hilt when he drop it against the bed. Also in the first TOJ scene Ned picks up Daynes sword Dawn and slays him with it.

I'm fairly certain she was still smiling until she looked at LF but I could be wrong.

I thought her look changed because she knows the exact opposite of what LF wanted just happened. And he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants. She knows Jon is not safe.

What happens when Bran returns to Winterfell and knows the true lineage of John Snow? He knows hes not Ned's son at all. That would leave Bran with the rightful claim to Winterfell ,not Sansa, as Ned's oldest son.
I don't know if Bran would want it, because he is concerned with being the three eyed raven. If John is out of the picture then wouldn't Bran be the King of the North?

Again, he's named Edric not Eddard.
In the tourney at Harrenhal story it talks about Ned and Ashara dancing together. Catelyn is also super intimidated by Ashara and everyone thinks there's a good chance Ashara is Jon's mom. Plus Ashara kills herself after Ned brings Dawn to back to star fall and talks to her, not when Brandon is killed. It's pretty much an established fact that Ned and Ashara were in love and probably going to be married before Brandon's death forced Ned to marry Catelyn for alliance purposes.

He's named Edric but they call him Ned.

Right, so that doesn't necessarily mean he's named after Ned Stark.

But that decree was lost with Lady Mormont's mother.
Also if bran just shows up, Winterfell is his, he is a natural born son.
Had I made one change to that scene it would have been Howland Reed in that room when they all declared for the king, and Reed declaring that he is the heir to the Iron Throne and that is why he swears to him.
With no Baratheon's left, HR could assume it's safe to tell the truth about Jon.
Now would the north follow a Targ/Stark?
I think people are long sight of that scene, Baby bear basically gave them a way to rationalize supporting the man they already wanted to back after he won-- plus Northerners are less impressed by alliances at this point some of the stories of Jon's time at the watch are probably leaking down along with the story of his physical (tactically a bit off admittedly) performance at BotB, its starting to spread by rumor and legend that Jon isn't normal and the Target thing would just confirm it.
Remember the Prince who was Promised, unlike Azhor Azhai, isn't a Red God Legend it's an Old God one and having it seemingly confirmed would probably bind the North even more tightly to Jon-- especially if news of the Walkers starts to be confirmed as well.
Here:
- You have a legend that you doubt is true but which has been passed down for generations.
-An ancient enemy RE emerges that you likely also thought was a legend.
-A bastard arises to become the second youngest Lord Commander ever, he leaves, seemingly breaking his oath but the Black seem okay with it so you send out riders to investigate
-That same bastard faces the full might of a calvary charge by himself with only a Wilding scum and a pirate to back him.
-He's saved at the last second
- he then, with at best two dozen men- if you consider wildling scum men (and you probably don't) storms and unstormable castle, beats a skilled fighter with drawing on him with a bow from 20 yards with only a discarded shield and his fists.
All that, and then it's confirmed he is both a Stark and likely the rightful heir to the Iron Throne (remember they don't know about Dany).
That's not a guy you turn on, that's a man you stand with to the end.

well no they don't know he is alive
it would make sense for them to wonder if he is still alive since Rickon was alive, but they do not know
nobody ever got a chance to talk to Rickon
After Hardhome, Jon probably assumes he's dead.

I thought she was supposed to be athletic tomboy more than classic beauty. She seemed fine to me.
