Yeah but none of the Lords acknowledged her.

I believe that her biggest fear and concern is What LF will do with the 30,000 foot from the Vale that he commands. That is a force to be reckoned with, and she sees that Jon is not on the right side of it.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but you don't know that.

Well, all the people in John's war council know John did not call the KotV. I'm certain she gets all the recognition she needs as the Lady of House Stark.
Needing to be recognized as "Savior of the North" is just being waaaay too high maintenance. That would mean her character has not developed at all given what she has been through. She has grown as a person through all her experiences.

I think young Sansa would have done just that. Older, wiser Sansa has come too far..... IMHO.
Otherwise her whole journey is for naught.

And I think a much better progression for her character is to wrest control of the KotV from LF by getting close to SR. Out foxing LF would be a great transformation from the young lady who confided in Cersei and caused the death of her own father and downfall of her family.........

Can't read all pages, but has the conversation between Lyanna and Ned been absolutely agreed on?
Turn on Closed Captions, and I got:
Lyanna to Ned: ...if Robert finds out he'll kill him...you know he will...you have to protect him....promise me, Ned....promise me

I think SweetRobin is back in the Vale. I would have definitely left him behind if I were LF.

I really don't see how you all don't notice her lips instantly drop when Lyanna says he will be my king from this day until my last
And then once they start chanting King in the North she starts smiling again.
Then only drops her smile when she looks at LF.

D&D are completely in unchartered territory now, and reaching for possible conflicts among the dwindling character pool. There may be a lot more coming to indicate Sansa being anti-Jon, but at the end of the day, it will all turn out to be BS.
Either that or they have already decided to make her the new Ramsay later on. His "always be a part of her" crap. I would hate to see that, because if Sansa does anything to hurt Jon, Noone's gonna frick her up. Noone loves Jon.
I think they did themselves a disservice even planting this seed of an idea. It feels to me like "GRRM Jr. writing"

It goes both ways because she only begins smiling when Jon looks down. They are already chanting.

Dany is invading Westeros with a massive army, Cersei sits on the Iron Throne that LF and his large army may try to take, and the WW are going to get through the wall at some point.

Plus, they've said over and over that there will only be 13 more episodes. I think the plot is going to move along very quickly from here on out.

quote:I know there is a lot of Sansa love here, but for me she has been one of the worst character. It feels like she's been exactly like Catelyn Stark in her looks, her wanting to marry up as a child, and her ability to screw up almost every decision she makes. It feels the the writes caved in to popular pressure and are now, and way too forced, changed her character to grow out of no where. I don't think GRRM ever intended her to be a power player, but only a commodity and a political tool used for her bloodline. I don't think she actively turns on Jon, but rather goes back to being helpless once he takes his army to the wall. ETA: This kinda plays in the narrative that she wanted so bad to be a part of the Kings Landing court society, but wasn't taught in the southern culture of back stabbing and alliance making.

If only there was a way for them to communicate. Also, teleportation!

Maybe. I think she is an end-game player. Not Little Finger.

I think LF makes it to the final season. Cersei is for sure a goner next season, and then that means we just have Euron tops who is pure evil, and the Others which have no personality to speak of. We need someone like LF still manipulating events, or it becomes like Lord of the Rings which this series is for all intents and purposes a critique of. George has promised us it doesn't end with just united man vs evil zombies. It needs to be more than that.

Well, Dany has shown incredible indecisiveness, though, thus the Mereenese Knot - so, landing in a literal pit of vipers, based on Varys' recommendation (if that's what happens), may bog them down in Dornish politics for some time - Tyrion and Varys may even clash over strategy, leaving Gray Worm to have to mediate in completely uncharted territory himself. I do think that Dany and the Queen of Thorns will hit it off and that may smooth things somewhat. The combined forces of Highgarden and Dorne are almost enough to challenge Cersei, especially now with a dangerously insecure Northern flank, a new King in the North, even without a Dothraki Grand Khalasar, Unsullied and 3 dragons.
Actually, I see the KL situation wrapping up fairly quickly, anticlimactically (from a broader military perspective, I think it will be highly interesting from a Lannister family dynamic, palace intrigue standpoint) and the focus will immediately shift to the threat from beyond the wall. The fly in the ointment isn't the Lannister army, IMHO, but Euron. Everyone but the Euron-led Iron Born should rally quickly around Jon and Dany once the WW threat is fully realized everywhere. Sam being at the Citadel with these reports and a secure Winterfell under the "not quite dead" Stark clan should help all of that.
After all - 13 episodes is going to fly by. What takes 3 or 4 chapters in the books is going to be gone in a couple of minutes. We're going to get a little more than an outline of the last book and a half with these practical limitations.

Sansa shouldn't be getting any praise as she has learned nothing of the game from LF. She had the guy that is always a step ahead of everyone offering a free fricking favor and turned that superior positioning into now owing his scheming arse one. She also witholds the letter from Jon resulting in the death of most of their forces as well as a damn giant because who the hell knows?
I hope to the Old Gods that book Sansa is a better player than what she has become on the show. Not sure it's a fault of the show, but I had much higher hopes than what she has shown the last 2 seasons.
