I hope to the old gods and the new that GRRM had a minor, undetected stroke the day before he started writing TWoW and the only damage was that he forgot that Sansa Stark existed.

They're all false trails and bullshite. Tyrion is Tywin's son. The story and themes support this. If there's a Lannister who is a Targaryen, it is Jaime and Cersei. That makes much more narrative sense and doesn't destroy the relationships between characters in the way Tyrion not being Tywin's son would.
I agree with you, but with just one small concurrence - IF there's a Lannister who is actually a Targaryen, it is most definitely Orson Lannister, the dimwitted cousin of Tyrion/Jaime/Cersei who did nothing but kill beetles at Casterly Rock.
THMASH THE BEETLE! THMASH EM!

I love these threads and I have read every page of this one, but after 100+, I'm not sure if this has been commented on, so here goes.
Cersei's sartorial evolution has been really well done. First she wore long flowing dresses and big hair like a Targaryen because that's the only image of a queen she's ever known.
Then Margaery hits the scene and wins the crowd so Cersei adapts to her tight fitting, low-cut attire.
Then when she makes her huge power play she just decides to raid Tywin's closet.

Here is from reddit user about Jon's real name
"No matter what Bran Stark says, it’s pretty obvious that “The Winds of Winter,” the final episode of Game of Thrones season six, confirmed a long-held fan theory: that Jon Snow is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. The evidence came in the form of Lyanna whispering her child’s name to brother Ned, who agrees to raise him as his own. In case that wasn’t clear enough, the scene then seamlessly transitions from baby Jon to adult Jon.
HBO intentionally didn’t provide closed captioning for whatever Lyanna whispers to Ned, but according to Redditor “sparkledavisjr,” who has watched the Tower of Joy scene “about fifty times,” she didn’t say Jon. “I’m not a great lip-reader,” he wrote, “but I’m fairly certain what she says is Jaehaerys.”
It’s a name that probably isn’t familiar to non-book readers, because it’s only been mentioned once on the show, when Samwell is talking to Gilly during a forgettable scene in season three. Jaehaerys I Targaryen was the king of the Seven Kingdoms — the fourth Targaryen to hold such a title — approximately 200 years before the start of the series. He was dubbed “The Conciliator” or “The Wise.” A century and a half later, Jaehaerys II Targaryen became the 16th Targaryen to sit on the Iron Throne, and almost the last. That dishonor went to his son, Aerys II, better known as the Mad King, or Daenerys’ father.
If Lyanna was in love with Rhaegar (as seems likely), it makes sense for their son to have a Targaryen traditional name like his siblings Aegon and Rhaenys. Jaehaerys would be a good pick as the name isn’t associated with any real negative connotations, like Aerys, Maegor, etc. Not only is Jaehaerys the great-grandfather of Jon, he was the King who received the ORIGINAL PROPHECY about the prince who was promised from the woods witch with Jenny of Oldstones.
This prophecy is what caused Jaehaerys to force his children Aerys and Rhaella to marry, because it was prophesied that the [Prince That Was Promised] would be born of their line. Rhaegar was aware of this prophecy, and while he originally thought that he was the PTWP, he realized later he was not and that it would be one of his children. That is why he took/seduced Lyanna in the first place. His wife Elia could not have any more children, and he knew there must be a third child (The dragon must have three heads). (Via)
Ned couldn’t call the child Jaehaerys, though. That name’s as synonymous with the Targaryens as Cletus is to slack-jawed yokels. So Jaehaerys became Jon, possibly in honor of Ned’s friend and Hand of the King predecessor, Jon Arryn. Good thing, too: “You know nothing, Jaehaerys” isn’t nearly as catchy."

George has promised us it doesn't end with just united man vs evil zombies. It needs to be more than that.
One can hope. But it does look to be setting up that way.
I can see Varys setting aside petty squabbles for the good of mankind, but Little Finger is a bit different. If he realy does want to see it all burn, he may well be one of the last remaining villians.
I think a Sansa-LF competition to gain control of the KotV (through SR) would be pretty interesting (particularly in book form). Just about the only thing that would win a boy over in comparison to that cool arse Falcon would be some hot poon, and Sansa has that going for her.
She might have learned a thing a two from her time spent with Cersei, Tyrion and LF. There is no reason this wouldn't play out over an entire season.

Sansa shouldn't be getting any praise as she has learned nothing of the game from LF. She had the guy that is always a step ahead of everyone offering a free fricking favor and turned that superior positioning into now owing his scheming arse one. She also witholds the letter from Jon resulting in the death of most of their forces as well as a damn giant because who the hell knows?
There is a whole lot of assumption up in this bullshite post, but I'll not re-hash it. Go on with your e-bad arse.

Remember, Kit Harrington also had to sell Jon Snow as doornail dead for an entire off-season.

You said yourself LF is always a step ahead. He's not handing out free favors without being out in front of it. It's not a free favor if you know the other person needs you.

Littlefinger will be there at the end.
The real game is Littlefinger vs. Varys.

This...makes a shite-ton of sense.
The Aerion thing...while it was an actual Targ name (one of Egg's brothers who was a cruel-assed mofo who did some Euron-type shite to one of the other siblings)didn't ring true in any way.

While they've clearly changed this for the show, I think ADOS will more come down to Tyrion vs LF vs Varys. Tyrion and LF's conflict is personal at this point, while LF has just made a few dick joke jabs at Varys really. LF has tried to have him killed numerous times.

Well said. Sansa is not jealous of John. That would be ridiculous story telling. After what they have been through, she should be ecstatic at a re-emergence of House Stark, regardless of who it is under. Her position at Winterfell is secure and she is safe (after LF is removed and not considering the WWs).
Agreed. I've watched the episode 3 times, but the WF scene a few more than that to see the Mormont speech. When Lady Mormont is speaking Sansa is smiling proudly in agreement. Sansa smiles at Jon too when he stands up shocked at what's happening.
Her smile fades at LF's glare, so he will cause, or try to cause conflict between her and Jon. I am interested of what he will do next, and how he will die. He'll probably try to team up with the QoT/Dorne/Dany before they team up with Jon.
If Sansa gets out of line Arya will smack her

Plus, they've said over and over that there will only be 13 more episodes. I think the plot is going to move along very quickly from here on out.
With only having 13 episodes have they said if those would be longer than normal?
I hate that there will be only 13, but if they made them 75 minutes I'd love it

Not true on UVerse. I watched and typed that post as the CC was playing what Lyanna said.

So the 4 directors of Season 7 have been announced: LINK
Pretty meh list. Glad Alan Taylor is coming back, but I'm disappointed Miguel Sapochnik, David Nutter, Neil Marshall, or Jack Bender aren't returning this season. Hopefully they can get the All-Star cast of directors back for the Final Season.
