Seems retarded to drag that onto season four just to put in the 1st episode or so. IMO, the Red Viper need only show up for the trial. He didn't have jack shite to do with the wedding.
Red Viper only needs to show after Tywin dies, right?
The PW could happen, and then next season's opener introduces the RV and shows Tywin not crapping gold.

It'll be interesting... By not mentioning Willas Tyrell, some of the backstory of the red viper is lost.

I know it would be incredibly difficult to do (and wouldn't make much sense), but I think it would be epic if they have the PW first, and the non-readers get to blow their loads with Joffrey's death. Then have it immediately cut to the RW, Rob and Cat dying, and suck the non-readers souls out of their faces.
Would be so awesome.

Not a ton, IMO. I think the important piece of the Red Viper's backstory is his hatred for all things Lannister/Clegane.

I don't like it. I think the hatred for Joff outweighs the love for Robb/Cat, so viewers would be like "that's cool, fair trade off". Doing the RW first allows them to be fairly mad about Robb/Cat, but then get their retribution and then som with the PW.

always enjoy the scenes with Varys and Littlefinger.
those 2 guys own the screen when together, plotting against each other.

The Hodors seriously don't know that Jon Snow is not a turncloak? That he is simply undercover?
Holy shite they are stupid.

I think the foreshadowing with Arya via Melisandre's comments could be it.
Melisandre getting to witness Thoros's miracle with Beric nearly firsthand is somewhat reassuring that she will at least attempt to revive Jon Snow in the same manner when the time comes.

It's kind of hard for the non-readers to pick up on this since they can't hear Jon Snow's thoughts.
Also, the show deviated from the book BIG TIME with Jon Snow's answer to Mance about why he wanted to join them.

Did you read the books?...Just kidding.
The Red Viper is at Tyrion's trial after they accuse him of killing Joff.
Tywin being killed is late in book 3, so end of season 4.
ETA: I always assumed that Joff's death would be early season 4, but I hear thats not the case. I could see it being last episode and they just introduce Red Viper at the trial.

Didn't the scene with the Halfhand make that quite clear though? Even my wife who barely pays attention knows this.

Is John going to get shot in the leg by Ygritte this season while returning to the Watch?

So. It was the conversation with Halfhand. He said they would accept him as a wildling if he did what was necessary when the time comes, ie, killing Halfhand.
ETA: NoFun Bunch beat me to it.

Indeed. Or possibly seek out Thoros?

meh, kinda... it was so brief and so long ago that's it's difficult to tell where Jon stands exactly... but not so much anymore thanks to Ygritte.

Do you think they'll change up his escape scenes and her death from what is portrayed in the book? Should we expect for him to be back at the wall by end of S3?
Posted on 5/6/13 at 10:34 am to fouldeliverer
All I know is that scene with them at the top of the Wall last night was bittersweet knowing what happens to them. It's gonna be kind of heartbreaking when she dies.

Anyone else disappointed we didn't actually get to witness the scene of Tyrion explaining the marital situation to Sansa and Shae. Seem like a cheap way out.
