I hate how the books paint Ser Kevan early on to just to be a shadow of Tywin, IMO he is closer to a Ned or Davos than Tywin. Tywin is a fricking scumbag.
Plus, his line to Cersei revealing his knowledge is top 5 in the whole series.

Did you read the Theon gift chapter? Stannis is cashing checks and breaking necks from that tower.

A pre-released chapter that GRRM put out from the next book. Its linked somewhere in the crackpot thread.

Ahh, I've been staying away from the pre-release chapters and readings. I want to read it all for the first time in the context of the book (in 4 years).

The non-readers are on the right track to figure out the RW.
Questions like this are going to lead to it. I think many are going to guess at it, especially if Robb and his army arrive one episode and shite goes down the next. The RW should almost be it's own episode.

The writers are telegraphing it too much.
My wife is a fricking Sherlock when it comes to plot, and I can tell she is getting there.
Sucks because that moment in the books is so perfectly set up, and it hits you like a freight train. Ive never heard of a single person that saw it coming.
Sad the watchers wont get that same experience.

Yeah, I hope they completely avoid that storyline next week. Hopefully, it will be Dany, Jon, Slayer/Coldhands, and King's Landing mostly. However, opening an episode with the Red Wedding would also be a nice "boom".
The non-reader thread is getting closer:

Anyone not loyal to the north would want them dead for their own personal gain. And I don't think this would apply to the Bolton's.

I assume we'll be seeing the Bolton's play a larger role in this story going forward - his father has been getting a lot of face time lately as well.
If they show anything next weekend where the Bolton's seem friendly with the Frey's, they will probably put it together.

Wasn't the Tywin/Joffrey showdown like one chapter ahead of the wedding? Seems retarded to drag that onto season four just to put in the 1st episode or so. IMO, the Red Viper need only show up for the trial. He didn't have jack shite to do with the wedding.

Does this mean Bran tells a Ghost story (ala Jon Snow's current predicament?)
Could this mean a look back to The Tower of Joy? (I know not likely, but damn it, I want to see Rhaegar).

Don't remember where, but its Joff's name day. Tyrion gives the book and Joff cuts it in half and sort of threatens Tyrion.
ETA: Or is is that Tyrion makes a remark and Joff takes it as a threat. I'm rereading Storm now but am way behind this.

I was wanting to see Rhaegar in episode 10 of last season. It's overdue.

I'm hoping they surprise us and have the PW in episode 10. Is it confirmed that 10 will be 90 minutes, or was that just one of those rumors that spread around?
I had RW spoiled for me here by not staying out of spoiler threads. Due to that, there were a LOT of clues in the books leading up to it that I noticed only cause I knew it was coming (despite being in denial the closer I got to it).
As long as Roose stays in Harrenhal for the time being, I don't think it will be as obvious as you think. I assume things will start looking up the next couple episodes for Robb. It'll seem like "okay, things were getting real shitty, but he's back on track!" I'd like to see some planning done regarding Casterly Rock like they did for taking the Neck (I think) in the book, where it seems like a great plan for victory is made and they just need to get this insignificant wedding out of the way.
Was there a nod to the readers in this episode? I think I remember each of the first 5 having something (Meereenese knot, stillborn named Edric, etc) but didn't catch anything in this one. Could Ramsey's line about happy endings have been it? We're fricked aren't we?

I think the foreshadowing with Arya via Melisandre's comments could be it.

maybe Melisandre's dialogue with Arya about her having different colored eyes, she has darkness in her
"We will meet again" was interesting seeing as how that hasn't happened in the books yet

I forget the plan but I remember I was jacked about it. I had no idea it was coming.
If I was a non reader I would think this season would be really slow. Especially since so many of them seem to love dany.

my dad knows Joff is on the way out soon. Last night he was like "Joff doesn't have much longer. There's no way they can make him a complex character at this point and there is nothing redeemable about him, just like Viserys. He'll be dead soon."

No mention of Jon climbing the wall. No mention of Sam and Gilly. No mention of Theon.
My point is, they don't tell us everything in the summary. Not saying you are wrong, but to state it 100% based on those brief summaries is premature.
