This season was more meh than the others IMO because hardly any of the story lines intersected at all. Everything was so disjointed.
One of the few moments of intersection was when Sam and Bran met in the finale.
Need more converging story lines.

It's how the story works. They're not gonna change the story lines that much from the book, since converging them is a pretty big thing.
The thing is, IDGAF about the books. Converging story lines is good for TV because it brings characters together and allows them to interact.
Most of the main characters have been on this island all season, so seeing some crossover in Season 4 would be nice. There was crossover in Seasons 1 and 2 and they were awesome, IMO.
I enjoyed seeing Sam and Bran (2 characters I don't really care about) meet because it had been so long since paths had crossed.
Just a minor complaint about a great show tho.

I think you guys are right. Minimal convergence in character storylines. That's why the pacing was so slow.
Another issue is that all of a sudden you get another character tossed in with screen time but nothing happens (Bronn).
Or as soon as you kill off someone and finally open up screen time for story to develop more for ongoing arcs we get thrown a new scenario - theon's sister. It's like where have we heard anything about these guys all season?
I am hoping that it is probably building up for a huge fourth season. But who knows? At the end of last season I thought we'd be seeing a lot more white walkers. I guess I'm just annoyed that the season flew by without seemingly accomplishing much and now I have to wait a year.

Well now Stannis and co. are focused on the White Walkers, so that's a thing. Also, they must have the big royal wedding at some point during the next season, and if a relatively minor wedding went so big, there's no doubt some stuff will go down for the other one.

Just rewatched it. Whoever was asking about the Dykes ship route I have answers.
Yara told Greyjoy That she would take the fastest ship up the Narrow Sea and into the Weaping Water and march onto Dreadfort. Narrow sea is east of Westerose and the Weaping Waters go right up to Dreadfort. So somehow she is prob able to cross, maybe down a river.

I am with you. This season had some awesome wtf moments and I hadn't really been spoiled on anything. But, I do think it was a slow crawl too often and then only having 10 effen episodes blows.
It's just a testament to how awesome the show is though, as this was still a great season compared to many other well written character driven shows.

The blonde chick crowd surfing through a bunch of Jar Jar Binks impersonators at a star wars convention with a tatooine theme.
Was really hoping there wouldn't be the typical PC comments about the end. The show doesn't care about race and it's not a black/white thing. People are just too easily offended.

Bottom line, it was the worst of the three seasons.
Id agree with that. It had some great scenes, but no sense of connection and there was a poor allocation of time with storylines. With only 10 hours of show, it has to be perfect. They dropped the ball in this regard.
Season 4 will be the best TV season of all time if done right. Promise.
