i don't even thinks robb wants to be king. he just wants to put some hurt on the lannisters.
someone mentioned before maybe in this thread, maybe in the middle ground thread that her whole life all dany's been told by her brother was that it was their (well his) right to rule. that the people are being ruled by a usurper and will welcome the targs back with open arms.
people act a certain way when they really think they are on the side of "right".

I was just going to say if she wants to know, go to the Middle Ground thread where I'll answer it. I'm done posting anything on this thread that you cry babies classify as real spoilers. The big readers here definitely dont want yall spoiled, perhaps even more than yall. Don't think it should be against the rules to give an answer from here to the Middle Ground thread.

I think you are missing a major character flaw of all of the throne-seekers: extreme narcissism. Really I think she is the only one that deserves that characteristic seeing how she is the mother of dragons and she is immune to fire.
LOL. We saw some demon crawl out a vagina and murder a homosexual...and you want to talk about strange shite making you worthy to the throne?

You have to wonder if Jamie ever explained the story he just told Brienne to Ned, or anyone else for that matter.
Didnt he say something to the effect of that he had never told anyone that story before?

I'd love to pour some hot gold over her head and see what happens

Maybe so but she needs to pick an identity. This half khaleesi half princess crap won't cut it in the 7 Kingdoms. They despise the Dothraki it seems and those across the sea.

Joffrey in no way deserves shite
True, but his shite is about to be run by Margery (sp?) and Bad-arse Grandma.

Stannis is a pussy
He's actually kind of a misguided mouth-breather - he killed a bunch of Lannister soldiers single-highhandedly at King's Landing, but just got his shite wrecked by Wildfire. He needs someone (Onion Knight perhaps?) that isn't a fanatic helping him strategize things.

Robb is just meh
There were always going to be growing pains with Robb, he's new to this. He needs to take some lumps before he figures it out. Plus, his "Stark honor" means never taking the easy way out.

Yeah, and he specifically mentioned Ned. IIRC, he figured Ned wouldn't have cared. Like others, I had a bit of trouble hearing him, though.

not worthy of the throne, but at least worthy of her narcissism...

Instead 1/3rd of Dany's scenes are "I'm mother of dragons..." when in fact, it took the slaughter of her entire house to be a rightful heir. Think about that...the last one alive. Not that she earned anything.
She's gone from getting married off by her turd of a brother to a leader of a bunch of savages (then had that leader die, leaving a ton of defectors) to now having an army of 8000+ and 3 dragons. It took some luck and help, but I'd say she's accomplished quite a bit.

I thought Stannis was supposed to be sort of a badass, but like Billy said he just got his shite wrecked by wildfire. And he's also been misguided by the RedChick. I was under the impression that normally Stannis is a boss.

He was a boss. Now he's putting that fire-pussy on a pedestal. And we all know how that turns out...

You should fear her over anybody else, IMO. Twyin coming in a close second. I'm also a little afraid of joffrey bc he's got some cray cray going on. Very nervous for Sansa around him.

I see Stannis as a pure straight lined soldier. This episode was the first real emotion we saw from him with his daughter. You could tell he was fighting back a lot of it with her too.

Stannis was regarded as one of the cruelest, hardest, disciplined, boring men in the kingdoms. He was supposed to be ruthless.
Now he's just broken. If this red woman was powerful, you'd think she'd deliver a victory. Instead she just makes excuses.
I do find it funny the Red Woman and the Band of Misfits or whatever both serve a "Lord of Light". Very strange dark magic they have going on.
Posted on 4/30/13 at 11:49 am to Cajun Revolution
With all the lords to pick in that world, seems like lord of light is the one I want to be on the side of. Demon queef assassins and bringing guys back from the dead? Count me in.

Jamie could be lying about that whole scenario with the Mad King, it's too soon for me to just believe whatever he says and take it at face value. I have a sneaking suspicion he's going to kill Brienne. He gained that one young prisoner's trust and seemed all nice, only to strangle the poor kid.
Then there was a line in the tub where Jamie says he wants a truce, and Brienne says "you need trust for a truce."
Then he tells her that story that makes him sound like the savior of King's Landing, then faints and she's all "somebody help him!"
She dead.

IIRC, he was in the process of trying to escape the camp. There's really no benefit in killing Brienne right now.

Well yeah not while they're in the tub, but if a situation arises in which killing Brienne would make it easier for Jamie to get home, I think he'll kill her without hesitation. And now she trusts him so she just signed her own death warrant.
