I really like Hodor's character development. I hated him at first, but now I can't wait for him to bang the warg's sister. It's gonna be amazeballs.

I'm assuming Jon Snow will be the bridge that brings them together, or at least that's how it's trending.

The Watch is in shambles, their leader is dead, and Snow is tapping Wildling arse.

It's becoming pretty clear the Wildlings aren't much different than any other clan per se.

Yeah, I can't get that crap to work either.

As far as Jaime goes, here's my take. Ned kind of looks a little less in my eyes because he kind of just went along with a lot of crap, even though he had honor with some other things. I also notice, and it makes sense when you think of the time period, that the more honor people have, or the more they seem to do the right things, the more fricked they are by everyone else.

That said, at least Jaime had the nuts to stop the mad king.

And, we can't go by our standards when dealing with a time frame from which this show is set and the circumstances surrounding it, wizards, dragons, ect.

Given this, I'd be willing to bet there would be a lot of little kids flying out of windows.

I started a thread on the OT and got some interesting insight. I had just marathoned through the first 2 seasons and asked how long it would take before everyone (as in starting right now) went midevil on one another if something like solar flares knocked out power to an entire continent or giant rocks started falling from the sky, or even a nuclear attack. If everyone knew there would be no power for a long, long time. Things would be quite different and using our set of values is sort of crazy, because it would be somewhat like GoT.

Awesome. You are so fricking pathetic...just WAITING to pounce in here and drop some book knowledge. fricking sad.

As for the daughter/scales, I thought the same thing when I saw it, but just chalked it up to being burns. But the idea that she could be someone else's kid is interesting. I mean, if Selyse is having stillborns, it should happen whether it is a boy or a girl, so maybe something is legit wrong with her and some other woman birthed Shireen.

Also, about the subtitles, on Cox you hit Settings and go up to subtitles and switch it to the "Yes" column. On something ot her than Cox, I'm not sure...but that should work though.

That's kinda the point. This show shows that pretty much no one is great and moral. Everyone has flaws.

We saw ned as the man but he's got some shite to. A bastard and now the stuff with Jaime etc

To be fair Jaime said Ned walked in while he was stabbing the mad king in the back while trying to escape, can't fault Ned for what he saw.

You have to wonder if Jamie ever explained the story he just told Brienne to Ned, or anyone else for that matter.

seems like the two have been fighting forever. i think it takes more than snow zombies before they acheive world peace.

and at this point, it doesn't really matter. i take the last few episodes events as the dissolution of the night's watch (or at least as it was known).

wildlings didn't even believe they have just 1000 men but we know jon is telling the truth.

i mean eventually i think they'll probably all team up out of necessity but it's understandable why both sides are hesitant to try to team up.

I'm not saying Ned's not a good guy. But it shows no one is perfect in this world.

And I mean as far as we know Jaime could be lying so he doesn't look bad. I doubt it but who knows

Jaime's possible redemption story is interesting because it gives the some of the other Lannisters potential to redeem themselves later in the series.

To this point we've only seen Joffrey and Cersei as 99% evil robots, maybe they can pull a Jamie as well.

I'm just going to assume the Targareyn eventually just slaughters everybody. I still find her portrayal of Daenarys insufferable. Her compassion is great but the pride/selfishness is just horrible.

When she starts announcing who she is like people should fear her...I just want to slap her.

at this point, he's kind of like sociology experiment. when things are going his way he's kind of a douche. when the chips are down, he finds humanity.

edit: although it may come from brienne who treats him well. jamie doesn't strike me as a guy with many friends

I think you are missing a major character flaw of all of the throne-seekers: extreme narcissism. Really I think she is the only one that deserves that characteristic seeing how she is the mother of dragons and she is immune to fire. Joffrey in no way deserves shite, Stannis is a pussy, Robb is just meh, etc.

Exactly my point. She isn't a warrior. She has a distinct advantage. She cheated a man for an Army and now she has it. I thought her manipulating them was great...but when she starts with this extreme narcissism it turns me off.

Joffrey is a twerp but he doesn't go around screaming "Respect me. I'm a Baratheon. My family is Lannisters." He goes around shouting he's the King- which is understandable.

Instead 1/3rd of Dany's scenes are "I'm mother of dragons..." when in fact, it took the slaughter of her entire house to be a rightful heir. Think about that...the last one alive. Not that she earned anything...he Brother's narcissism killed him because he couldn't shut his mouth. I think eventually it will do the same for her.
