It's still her dumbass fault that the whole war started.

One could argue it's LF's fault

When she is right she is right (Theon & Lord Frey), but when she is wrong she is really wrong.

I enjoyed Cat. Mainly because she made the majority of her decisions as a mother.

She warned Robb about sending Theon going to the iron islands. That would have saved a lot of trouble if he'd have listened to her
Yeah. But that just proves that Robb was also an idiot. And that she didn't have his trust to the extent that he would follow her advice. (Same with him breaking the deal to marry a Frey girl to get him some steady Oona Chaplain poon).
I think the only thing she did that's had a positive impact was treating Jon so badly that he joined the Night's Watch. Otherwise he would have probably been killed at the Red Wedding also (I'm assuming he'd have been in Rob's army if he hadn't gone NW).

As creator of the thread and judge in these matters, I rule that trial by combat is warranted. The weapon will of course be alcohol. Whomever can consume the most before passing out is the winner.

Ok many deaths at least make sense, Luwin made 0 sense.

Unless you bragged in the Maester thread about using that as an excuse
O'Reilly? Yeah I knew he was full of shite. Typical guy who thinks he's bullshitting people when he's painfully obvious.
FYI, that wasn't sfp, that was Carson random numbers.

Den Fuher de Hodor made him out to be a scapegoat. CRN had like two posts in that thread. On wasy a "my bad"
Den Furher had three in our thread.
So really, he belongs on the list..

Everyone should really watch The Complete History and Lore of Westeros. It's on the Season 1, 2 and 3 DVD's, they are narrated by the actors who play the characters. There are no spoilers, just history. It starts at the Children of the Forest and brings us to the end of season 3. History of all houses, lots of background on The Targaryans, Roberts Rebellion etc etc.
The Complete History & Lore Of Westeros:
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3

Also, how did Tyrell come into their money? I know it's been mentioned on the show but I can't remember.

This. I'm probably one of the biggest anti-Cat people around. She's screwed things up from the get-go and in my view is significantly responsible for a lot of the bad shite that has happened in Westeros. But killing a Frey, even a Frey wife is not one of her screw ups IMHO.
I'm all Team Littlefinger these days when it comes to blaming anyone for opening Pandora's Box in Westeros. Catelyn certainly didn't help matters any along the way with some of the decisions she made.
Agreed on Cat though. I don't see how anyone can blame her for following through on her threat when Frey flat out had her son and the rest of her family/friends/followers killed in one swoop in front of her despite her pleas to let a wounded Robb go. Especially when every Frey there was an accomplice to the Red Wedding.
frick the Freys. All of them.

Yep, honestly Cat is one of LF's biggest victims. I think after being rejected by her, he no longer loved her, but was obsessed with her. While never acknowledging it even to himself, I think he wanted to personally sabotage Cat as much as Ned.
