Yeah, I thought this is what she was doing,no? Once you get all the way up the channel, you are pretty far inland.

I support that,
I just successfully did a reinstatement thread for Carson though and don't wanna over do it with the admins too soon

And most do a good job of not spoiling anything but some can't help it. It accidentally slips sometimes. For instance, in this thread I now know of a character that hasn't even been introduced yet. Although, I may be in the wrong here if unintroduced characters can be brought into this thread. I'm still a newbie to this thread.

That post was RA by the OP, and has since been removed. The others characters might not have been seen, but I believe they were mentioned by other characters on the show.

Unfortunately, it's not an isolated incident. I like him well enough, but he can go into OMLanddouche mode on occasion. Who remembers his attitude in the Lost threads?

I got one of the offenders removed when I spotted it, though others have done a good job of not overstepping or editing when asked. This one didn't edit and I had no recourse but to RA. Surprisingly the first time I've had to RA in this thread. Everyone has been good for the most part. The nonreaders thread naturally attracts those who want to troll for maximum effect.

GoT Season 3 "Middle Ground" Thread - Ep. 10 starts on p.66, *Very Mild Spoilers that night was bad for readers posting in the non-reader thread, and he was in overdrive mode. he also had a history of doing it somebody had to be the example. he gets to play the jesus character, except he's neo and not dany

Thank you. it was my point the whole time. A two week timeout is no big deal. It ain't 3 months for calling a poster a c*nt.

Anyway, regarding the show, I liked the finale minus the Dany scene.

Arya was a badass in how she set the Frey up before shanking him. Awesome stuff.

Psych, this thread was a great idea. I can't post in the non-reader thread because I'm into the 4th book, and I got spoiled a few weeks ago in the reader thread about something in book 5.

You do a good job of policing the thread.

Yeah, it's almost universally agreed among both the readers and the nonreaders that they chose the wrong scene to end the show. Both previous seasons had an oh shite moment, this one was a letdown. The rest of the episode was great though.

Yeah, Dany crowdsurfing was so lame compared to the Dragons and White Walkers. I hope the producers know to not end next season with that. I imagine they're probably getting a lot of backlash right now from it.

Also, manwich made a Hodor clip that can be downloaded as an iPhone ringtone:

HODOR

Honestly, I'm rewatching it, and the Bran/Sam scene when the are heading below the wall would have been a perfect ending actually.

They had the music going and everything.

I'm surprised the writers dropped the ball on the final scene since they have been so clutch.

There were so many other ways to end the season, that's what made it so fustrating.

I was wondering when do y'all think we'll hear about casting choices for Season 4?

Looks like they had way too much of the story to get through to end with that. I just watched it again and that scene is less than halfway through the episode.

One thing I don't get is why dragons had fallen completely into myth status in such a short time. If, according to Tywin, the last huge dragon with a carriage-sized head died only 150 years ago, why is it so unbelievable that other similar ones would be possible?

So, if Abe Lincoln rode a dragon into battle, we'd by now think this was a ridiculous notion? That seems a little small-minded, time wise anyway.

Were there any great banning moments in the non-reader thread this week? I was out of town and read the thread afterwards, but didn't see any signs of a major incident.

I'm not sure how years work there. I know the seasons have no set end/beginning and can last a long time, but I don't know if the years relate to the seasons at all.

OML got banned. Didn't spoil anything, but went back into the nonreader thread after some admin explicitly told him to stay out. Not sure about anyone else

Yeah, I lurk the nonreader threads to see what theories y'all come up with.

Are you talking about Jon Snow's parentage theory?

I agree - they could have led with Dany's scene (or put it right in the middle) and nobody would have complained. Ending with it was not the right move, stylistically.

I don't know, but we were talking about it in the non-reader's thread. I believe Snow's parents are Lyanna and Rhaegar. I can't get anyone else to believe me.

Yes.

I think he's not Ned's but is Robert Baratheon's mainly because banging hos doesn't seem like Ned's style. Ace thinks he is Rhaegar's and Ned's sisters.
