The last episode was so fricking illogical and stupid… it legitimately pissed me off watching the last 5 minutes. I guess the show follows the book but it’s just dumb at this point.

ETA: thought this was no spoilers. Sunfyre rising from the dead and somehow finding Aegon and Lanny right before they’re about to get annihilated is such bad writing.

It has gone pretty far from the books, and most of the changes are not good. I do like the stuff in Tumbleton, though.

They had camped right next to where the dragon fell, where they were when Aegon said he was still alive.

Aegon said he wanted to die as king with his dragon, so that's why they were there. Dragons and their riders have a kind of psychic connection so when Aegon went on his defiant rant, he woke the dragon.

Also do we know who adams mom is? Has to be a targ right? I think he's the only Velaryon that has a dragon without having a known targ parent

I will give no details as this is a no book thread but no, at this point it barely resembles the book. I guess major events are still happening as they do but not in the manner in which the events were portrayed.

it's GoT buddy the only people not morally gray are Jon, Ned and Duncan the tall

she's clearly shows she's better at fighting civil wars than ruling and she knows it.

What has she done to be good at fighting a civil war? She is equally as bad at that as she is at ruling. She is only in KL because the writers decided to have Alicent hand it to her. It wasn't some great tactical decision she made to win the throne. It was literally given to her.

No. If Alicent doesn't make the deal and convice Aemond to take Vhaegar to Harrenhall, Vhaegar would have stayed in KL and Rhaenyra would still be on Dragonstone refusing to make any real decisions. She was handed the throne in a very nonsensical manner. If Rhaenyra was any good at Civil war, she should have taken KL and killed Alicent and anyone in her family still in the city immediately.
