I just need Mysaria to die. Absolutely the worst fake voice in the history of television. I legit despise her character. It's like they told her to try and do Max's voice from Black Sails but do it really really bad.

Well, if her death is anything like it is in the book, you'll be very happy.

Yea I remember absolutely nothing about her character from the book, it's like a blank spot. I've read ASOIAF numerous times so I'm pretty dialed in on it but Fire and Blood just once and my memory is pretty shoddy. After episodes I'm having to google some of the things I couldn't remember if they were in the book or not.

That character is legit bad. Monotone delivery. Not sure if it is the way the character is being portrayed, the way she is being directed or if she is just a shitty actress.

Suspect it is all 3.

Yeah but we hated Ramsey and Cersai. These characters just don't draw emotions out of us

To be fair, everyone also complained that Max had a terrible accent in Black Sails.

Unless I am misremembering, I don't think Mysaria's death is mentioned much in the book. She just kind of disappears from the story.

I wasn’t paying the first bit of attention to Max’s accent. If you catch my meaning.

Fire and Blood read more like a history than a novel. And honestly, I didn’t find it all that interesting enough to retain much either.

I think I remember her being whipped while naked and walking through the streets. The deal was that if she could make it to the city gates, she would be allowed to live. She died on the streets about halfway to the goal line.

Her fate is decided by Perkin the Flea. He hasn't been formally introduced, but fans have zeroed in on one of the soldiers Alicent speaks to about lowering their defenses and allowing Rhaenyra's dragons to land.

But she deserves it more in the book, after she viciously suggests that Alicent and Helaena be sent to a local brothel and turned into prostitutes.

We'll see.

Yep, but again, she kind of deserves it for being such a count about Helaena and Alicent.

I thought the episode was weak. Although, I did like the Daeron plot. Hard to stay interested in some of these conversations. Rhaenyra has become insufferable, not sure if that is what they are going for. Greens kind of left out of the episode except Alicent.

She’s learning the hard way that her father was right: sitting on that chair made of swords is actually a burden upon those doing the sitting. She’s wondering if what she wanted most was really worth all the grief and struggles.

They are screening episode 6 at Comic-Con the night before it airs. Several cast members said it’s the biggest episode of the season.

Episode 4
quote:

Lord Ormund Hightower and his forces take the market town of Tumbleton, deceiving Team Black by utilizing a fake Daeron. This unexpected inroad forces Queen Rhaenyra to quickly re-evaluate her strategic footing in the war

Ser Criston Cole and Gwayne Hightower advance toward Harrenhal. Expecting to find Prince Aemond there, they are surprised to find him missing and instead encounter the mysterious Alys Rivers, who hints at knowing far more than she lets on
Also, Daemon searches for Sheep Stealer and Ulf returns to KL to hang with his boys in the pub.

And whatever thing Grace Randolph loved so much is also in this episode. Bleeding throne period excuse? Some other retarded thing? Guess we'll find out.

This is also the final episode that approved press was given to review ahead of time. It's all bareback riding after this.

Here we go. I'm calling the period defense. It seems weird that they'd have it in there otherwise.

The younger daughter is doing a better acting job than I was expecting.

I really love James Norton as Ormund.

So, Helaena is pregnant. Interesting nod to the Mushroom rumor.

The episode had some decent moments. I don't need battles every week, but the writing is really dropping off. I thought having a different writer for this week's episode would at least improve dialog, but nope.

The Alicent and Rhaenyra situation was a bad decision. Those scenes are all so tedious.
