That's my man, Dan Fogler.

Watch Balls of Fury or Take Me Home Tonight. He's awesome, and he's already pulling off a great Manderly in the scene they showed him.

So how much longer will the series continue after Daemon and Aemond kill each other? It seems once Rhaenyra and those two are dead, it won't last long as HBO isn't really setting it up that way. Dumb because there is still some good stuff that takes place.

I'd imagine it will end with Aegon II getting killed and Aegon III being established as king. Seems like a natural ending of the story.

blueboy had a similar thought that this season will end at God’s Eye and the last season will be everything up to the Hour of the Wolf.

IMO it’s do able when you still have Corlys, Larys, and some of the younger characters of age to be more formidable. You’ll also still have the Winter Wolves and everybody loves a Stark.

I think we get the Butcher’s Ball in episode 6 or 7 and end with the first Battle of Tumbleton. If it was a full season maybe we end with the God’s Eye, but that’s a lot to fit in 5 more episodes when only 6 are technically from season 3. Also, HBO knows how much people love Matt Smith.

Possibly.

I have a feeling we see some battles condensed for screens though.

Even though I’m sure we also get some Alys and Aemond filler (hopefully not as long in the tooth as her and Daemon last season). They’ve gotta build that relationship up a bit.

Cole and Gwayne have just been taking up screen time since Rooks Rest so they need to tie that up soon. I think they said there were 3 battle sequences this season and the consequences of BB and Tumbleton are too big to gloss over. Wish they would have stuck with 10 episodes per season.

Hate to say it but they have done a mediocre job of casting. The actors they picked are kind of hard to connect with but for Matt Smith and half the time they have hurt his character with bad writing and dialogue.

I think that's purposeful. Rhaenyra was controversial in the books in that some sympathized and some didn't. Alicent in a similar vein. Aemond isn't supposed to be likable either, nor Aegon. I think they cast Helaena really well in that she's the only one I think anyone has any real sympathy for and she plays into that innocence of her character well.

The Hightower Army is already in Tumbleton. I don't think they're going to hang around there for 4 episodes before doing something.

Also, we know from the trailer that Cole arrives in Harrenhal next week. There isn't much to do there after they arrive except get angry and mobilize to go south. I think that leads to the BB in E5, Tumbleton in E6 or E7 and The Gods Eye in the finale.

If they go slower, the show finale would be closer to the death of Rhaenyra, IMO, but who knows? I agree that Smith is a draw.

Also, does anyone else think they might be trying to substitute the Trystane Truefyre storyline with Daeron? I'm trying to figure out what they're doing with the whole fake Daeron change, and if Perkin is getting a lot of screen time with the Hightowers, that might make sense, as Daeron is also a squire.

Did anyone one mention that they said Sunfire is dead and rotting? Thats a huge shift from the book given that Sunfire is supposed to eat Rhaenyra. Wonder how they reconcile that.

I was telling my brother that yesterday. I'm like Sunfyre playsa pretty big role. Daemon made it seem like he actually saw Sunfyre dead and rotting, not just a rumor.

I swear I will riot if they give Rhaenyra a magical boat ride to Essos instead of killling her like the books. I'd be ok if they figured out how to feed her to the Cannibal.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. Interesting. It was Aegon who first said his dragon was dead, but Baela is the one who Daemon says saw the dragon dead. It's possible that they'd have key characters conceal the true status of Sunfyre, but I don't know why Daemon and Baela would be among them.

Maybe they're not doing the death of Baela or Rhaenyra's grizzly end, or maybe she just saw the disfigured dragon and mistook it for dead.

They keep giving screen time to Rhaenyra's lady in waiting, Elinda, though, so I suspect she'll be gouging her eyes out over something or other.

Also, Tyland was said to be presumed dead. Maybe they really did kill him off. He's significant but not essential to a TV storyline. I hope not, though. He's the only competent character who isn't always scheming.

Could the rumor of Sunfyre being dead be a mistake for Meylese?

The trailer shows Meylese body rotting at rooks rest still. Maybe Daemon got bad information who knows

I would hope so but Aegon also mentioned his dragon being dead and in the books I believe that Sunfyre was known to be alive and was being cared for in the forest. Maybe Larys is scheming and Sunfyre is alive but Aegon doesn't know it.

Would make for one hell of an on-screen surprise reunion.
