I think Sam is going to play a large role in the next book. Seems the men from the Citadel he is with hold some great knowledge about what's taking place with the old magic coming back

Yeah I'm curious how he'll fit in all of the this... at the very least with little mance under Sam's tutelage at the very least bring back honor to the Nights Watch and by doing so redeem his father.
But my 3rd biggest mystery... Is Benjen Stark still alive and if he is how does that play?

as do I. as we know, there used to be spells that some Maester's have tried to learn (the Valyrian steel link, IIRC) but havent worked since magic left the world. since magic is back in the world, Sam will become a wizard(ish). if you remember, he said he always dreamed of becoming a wizard.

What exactly is a mummer? Tyrion used it in reference to a person being a liar.
Anyway, the theory that Jon will be reincarnated is giving me some hope but Catelyn was reincarnated. Could they really reincarnate two characters? I think there is a greater chance that he is healed by the red witch before he dies. That way he comes back stronger then before.

At this point in the story I sure as hell hope Martin wouldn't spend an entire section on Davos in both ADWD and TWOW simply to chase a red herring. That would be some major BS, Rickon better have something to do with Skagos, whether he is alive or dead.
Plus I'm not sure why Osha would have gone towards Greywater watch when both her and Luwin discuss the fact the Ironborn hold the neck, and she sure as hell would have no idea how to find Greywater Watch.
