I’m anticipating this being good. There are 3 short stories with these characters and each would make a good season of TV
The first story I get, it’ll make a great six short episode show.
Stories two and three, if you just follow them as written, will not be near as good as story one. It’d be a little different if the Blackfire Rebellion had already been put on screen. Or maybe they’ll use flashbacks to the rebellion to fill in the seasons.

They shoulda brought in Sheridan to fluff that thing up to 12.
I honestly can't think of a worse person I'd want touching a Game of Thrones show

I'm not taking any reviewer's word for it. It's only a few more days until I see for myself, but it has gotten several good reviews from YouTubers.
I mean the OP say "Looks like another meh Game of Thrones spin-off" while posting a review that says it's incredible.

The only critical thing I've heard so far is from the Talking Thrones guy on YT, who made some comments about it not being 100% faithful to the book. But overall, he still liked it.

It’s a very short book at 160 pages. Not much you can use to increase the episodes or run time.
There is only so much written in the three novellas.
HOWEVER… there are a lot of noodle incidents between the written novellas that they could develop if they want to flesh out more character development.
Ex - There was some incident where Dunk pissed off a noblewoman in Dorne between two of the novellas IIRC. That is a germ for some episodes if they want more screen time.

Is Duncan a black lesbian in this?

No but I think Tansy Too Tall was cast as a midget.

Good nonspoiler review by Preston Jacobs.
Probably only two other people in the world know as much about GRRM’s ip.

That cancer looking kid looks horrible as an actor

Is he in this one, the older brother?

One thing about the critics. Don’t listen to them

I don't think he's in this season, but he'll be in future ones.

I don't understand how this can be "low budget" and look so good but Rings of Power with it's giant budget had a very low budget Xena Warrior princess look and vibe to it.

Experience. This isn’t HBO’s first rodeo.
