Yeah. Disney will somehow twist it into Obi Wan being that blind monks from TFA step brother or some shite like that.

When Lucas made the Original Trilogy, he didn't like working with a studio because he had his vision and wanted to put that on the screen. I don't think he would want to work on a movie about a character that he once 'owned' with a movie studio telling him what to do. I think that could be a recipe for disaster.

Is it wrong that part of me wants to see Lucas involved in this just to see the melt on the M/TV board?

No.

The prequels were bad but TLJ was something entirely different. The prequels didn't kill star wars. Yes they're hated and yes they have tons of issues and yes AotC is an atrocious movie, but it still felt like star wars. It made a new generation of fans. I was 11 when TPM came out and I loved that movie.

TLJ was a horrific mess. And it's not even a Star Wars issue. Rian Johnson is an incompetent hack. His story made no sense, his pacing was terrible, his characters weren't developed, his character's choices made no sense, the plot didn't move at all, etc... It's just an absolutely terrible movie from basic story telling and directing stand point.

I'll go see Episode IX. Probably on opening night and probably with pre-ordered tickets. Disney brought Abrams back and he has a committee of writers. But that's just so I can see how this train wrecked shite show ends. It's pure morbid masochistic curiosity at this point.

I'm not going to see "Solo: The Misunderstood Hipster with a Heart of Gold" movie and I won't pay for any of the other off shoots. But I'll watch Episode IX.

JarJar looks like Citizen Kane next to Rose.

McGregor was one of the few things right with the Prequels.

You let Disney pick their man and we're going to have writers swinging for the fences, and at the end of the day it's going to be revealed in Star Wars lore that Obi-Wan never existed at all, he was all a dream.

Disney is more likely to make a 2.5 hour movie about Obi-Wan transitioning into a woman.

So this is just a melt about something you don't agree with.

Got it.

I never thought I'd see the day that Star Wars fans would be begging to have George Lucas back. Thanks Rian Johnson.

Choosing between Rose and Jar Jar is like asking if you'd rather a firing squad or the electric chair.

I'd give a slight nod to Rose. Jar Jar can't be topped

Darth Jar Jar was real and they forced Lucas to alter it. Would have been totes #epic and they need to remake OT with that change plus some others

Also peeps are overmelting about TLJ

I agree with that. Both are terrible choices, but you could make one, and I don't think it'd be that difficult. Give me the firing squad (Rose) ten times out of ten.
