Which was the right move. Jar Jar in TPM was too over-the-top to be believable as Darth Jar Jar later. I know exactly what Lucas supposedly was going for, but he fell on his face with it. Hard.

If I had a time machine, I'd give my left nut to be in the screening room the first time Lucas showed everyone Jar Jar on screen.

The Jar Jar origin movie comes out in a few years. It's called Avatar 2. It will connect the Avatar world to the star wars universe.
