Did not like Jaime/Brienne hooking up. Felt like fan service cringe at its worst.
Also did not like Euron going 3/3 killing Rhaegal and then everyone going 0/100 trying to bring down Drogon.
Gendry falling madly in love with Arya? Don’t buy that.
Other than that, I liked the episode and don’t think the show has been ruined. But I haven’t read the leaks, which do not seem to be getting positive feedback.
A couple other things: I now absolutely love the idea of Dany going mad queen, even though I have argued against it in the past. And I read into Jaime’s final scene as him going back to kill Cersei, not fight for her. I will be pissed if it is the other way around.

They shot a dragon 1000 yards away through a fricking mountain that hid them from sight of dragons flying hundreds of feet in the air. Dany decided to fly head on and then got sad and flew away. 80 scorpions and dragon 200 yards away and she decided to hear Tyrion out.
I defended last week because I thought it was ultimately a good episode. Between Ghost being ghosted, Sansa trying to get her entire family killed just like Catelyn Stark did, and a completely pointless killing of one of two reasons why Dany and Jon have a shot I am amazed at how bad this episode was. A dragon was not only killed they were made irrelevant. frick just have 2-3 scorpions and hide behind a rock.
And whoever said shoot through the sail should go to sleep, they’re obviously drunk.

Agreed. Gendry never struck me as the bumbling emotional love puppy type.
Literally the entire series hes kept to himself and remained stoic and simple. And they didnt build up him and Arya as a thing until these last few episodes so it all just kind of popped up out of nowhere.

I think that negotiation scene is one of the worst things they’ve ever written, it was strictly for the public execution but it makes zero sense.
Execute her and send her head in a box to Dany, that’s all it takes.
But just for fricks sake let’s leave the premise of this meeting in there.
They have no horses, no archers, only 50 foot soldiers with pikes and 3 people who can’t fight at all. Cersei has already betrayed them very recently, but sure let’s walk right up within archery range on foot and see if she’ll give us Missandei back and surrender...
Ok so we’ve established that retardation. Next, from Cersei’s side you have the dragon queen well within range, your brother who betrayed you and killed your dad within 20 yards, and a dragon within 300 with 25 scorpions armed, but you let them all walk away...
So we’ve established that retardation as well...
Old school and true Cersei, would’ve beheaded Missandei then killed Tyrion with a hundred arrows, unleashed all scorpions on Drogon, slaughtered the Unsullied and put Danys head on a pike
Everything they are writing now is for dramatic effect and spectacle and it absolutely sucks a cock
And don’t give me the reasoning for the negotiation was that scene where she said “let the city know she turned us down” bullshite, not one single citizen will ever know about that negotiation
