Not my perspective. My thoughts are there were so many opportunities for unbelievable scenes.
What if someone died in the Bron/Jaime/Ty scene?
What if Dany’s dragon did a U-turn and destroyed the Iron fleet?
What if Grey Worms bitch pulled Cersei over the edge?
Those are the scenes I got hooked on. Now it’s predictable daytime tv

He didn’t fight for Tyrion in Season 4 because outside of Oberyn, no one who had a reason to would be dumb enough to fricking do so.
Missandei’s death at the end was a good scene. She obviously has no big role to play after it’s all over. Her death however does give Dany another reason to go scorched Earth. She was her only real friend and confidant. The scene where Dany looks over at Tyrion/Jaime/Brienne/Pod, Jon and the Wildlings, and at Sansa makes that abundantly clear. Who can she really trust? Who is her real ally?
The Unsullied follow her because she bought them/freed them, but they are just soldiers. The Dothraki follow her because they have no one else to follow and no way back home, but again just soldiers.
She really has no other human allies that aren’t soldiers that she knows she can truly trust.
If that means she goes “mad” and burns Cersei out, then so be it. Cersei deserves it and if a few hundred or a couple of thousand ignorant King’s Landings residents get caught up in the crossfire, that’s on them.

I’ve been saying this since season 4 so you can piss right off. One of the worst gaps in the book to TV translation is the treatment of the north especially with regards to magic and the Stark’s warg bond with their wolves.
