Can someone explain to me why the Night King always spares Jon Snow?

He didnt challenge him at Hardhome and last night he didnt either. Also, why didnt the wights attack Jon? Seems like he had plenty of chances to kill him but didnt.

Because none of that was important. This show is about humans and their medieval-centric poltics games. We just needed to blanket kill all the Dothraki and the pesky Night King and his army so we can get to what everyone wants: a battle between Jon/Dani/Dragons and Cersei who is inexplicably not assassinated by the best asset in Westeros while the midget gets drunk and fricks the red head and the two huge guys finally fight each other and at the end eveyone lives happily ever after and HBO makes a prequel and a sequel.

His Q&A didnt end till 12:15am and I watched every minute of it.

Both major subreddits are on fire currently.

Ive been trying to think of an ending of a popular story or game that would reflect what we just saw. I think I found one:

Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Instead of Link fighting Gannondorf -> Ganon, Shiek aka Zelda does instead I mean shiek was a ninja too kind!!!!!!

i cannot imagine why they let the dragons live. seriously

even then, OP Arya can fix it all. you're 100% right about that

I also thought they should have had oil and/or pitch ready in case the dead made it to the walls. Pour it over and light them up.

Agreed. Thought the wall defense was a bit lame.

Expect the NK would have never let himself out in the open like that. The only reason he was left vulnerable because he was trying to kill Bran.

Also wouldn’t he need Bran to go in?

So what does surrounding it without Bran there do?
do you guys think...... Bran wasnt the 3ER yet. it was till the old man. in the cave.... so yes the 3er was in there and if you have an army of undead that could wait for eternity you post them out there forever.

To sell toys? Or probably to kill them in the next episode so Jon and Dany can name their first born son King Drogon, first of his name.

100% but that's getting overly nitpicky, even for me

their wall defense was" GET READY THEY'RE COMING"

I would have to go back but do we know that the NK knows where the 3ER is before he marks Bran?

It is weird that we can't discuss the show because anyone not having a fan boy orgasm over it is shunned

can he? I was told earlier in this thread, "OMG We only know he can warg into a raven and his dire wolfs"

I understand you didnt say that but there are tons of topics being discussed and each person has their goal posts in a different location.

It’s the journey, not the destination.

Most of you complainers probably still gripe the entire time on a trip and then bitch about the scenery when you get there. There just is no pleasing some of y’all.

Martin has intricately shared his vision of a world that concocted. And it has a storyline that is unique among most any storyline ever brought to screen. And yet we bitch about one of the battles.

They can’t all be the Red Wedding. Sometimes battles play out in simpler terms. More straightforward. Arya was the most adept at killing the NK so she did. George used her to do the job because he had been equipping her for the job for several seasons.

This is one the most important series to ever be produced. Just enjoy the ride.

and all frodo needed to do was ride the eagle into mordor. Am I doing this right?

You do realize that's a constant critique of LOTR from people who never read the books and only saw the movies, right?

The Eagles really had no reason to help Frodo in the beginning and the ring wasn't set up over all the books and 3 movies to have to be destroyed in the fires which created it and then Sam accidently farts on it halfway through the third movie and the eye explodes along with all of the orcs and they're just like oh thank God that's over. Now we can get back to what's important, a political election in the Shire. And all the fans are like, yeah! No one really cares about the orcs and Sauron anyway. That was just a shitty background plot device. We want to see Aragon dealing with the day to day struggles of being King and Frodo raising election funds from a superpac in the Shire
