The threat of the WW invasion was way more interesting and effective than the actual implementation of it IMO.
No argument there, which is why I said people would fuss regardless. There was no way to do it proper justice when all of the loose ends needed to be tire up in 6 seasons. I'm not trying to downplay it, I just think it was clearly always second fiddle to the iron Throne.

I feel like I'm in some sort of crazy alternative dimension. Where otherwise smart people are making the most asinine arguments, like the army of the dead wasn't always the primary conflict of this book and TV series we're discussing.

I just wanted at least some interaction between Bran and the NK. But nope.
I get what you’re saying but Cersei and most especially Euron’s shitty character are not as interesting final villains.

I also love how it's played it's crazy to face the dothraki in the open field. Night king goes hold my beer and obliterates them in a minute.

Because it was in the middle of a giant war with thousands of rabid dead people murdering everything in their sight. And then they just stop and tip toe through the halls of winterfell which is apparently the most soundproofed building ever constructed, but only at certain times when it wants to be?
While what you say is probably true but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The library might be in a secluded part of the castle. The walls are made of stone which would deaden sound. But the bottom line is the silence added huge tension and drama to that scene. Totally worth it to have the tone it did.

They successfully built up Thanos. The Night King was taken out on a fan service whim and didn’t do shite in the long run.
Thanos also beat the frick out of people. He didn't only do a lazy spear run kill.

Wait To defend that episode people are now downplaying the WW?
No it's not. When an entire series is building towards a certain Big Bad, it better climax with said Big Bad.

I see a lot of brightness complaints but I never once noticed the episode being hard to see while watching it.
I guess that's because I watched it in a pitch black room. Anybody who watched it with the lights on probably had a rough go of it.

The source material is from a song of ice and fire. The name game of thrones is the 1st book in the series. The ice and fire symbolism outweighs the fight for the iron throne by a mile.

I agree there. My whole argument is based on one comment about the NK and WW being the primary plot of the series. They're second IMO. Seems like the show producers clearly felt the same.

The series has been building towards the question “Who will sit on the iron throne when it’s all over”.
It's not going to be all over. The game never ends. This is the only real thing that has a conclusion.

THIS. Like 1,000,000,000,000 times THIS.

I turned the lights off, turned them back on, turned a lamp on, and turned everything off again. It was frustrating to have to keep pausing cause I literally couldn’t see anything at times

Other than being the rightful heir to the iron Throne, the true main plot of the series.
Bro its called GAME of thrones. BC that human throne shite is a silly game if the NK wins. It’s a silly game even if he doesn’t, but it is especially meaningless if he does.

Game of thrones
Based on a book series titled a song of ice and fire
Besides, the person who sits on the throne has felt irrelevant for like 3 seasons

Seriously, as we've approached the end of the show I hate when I hear random people talking about who "wins" the show by taking the throne at the end.
Talk about missing the point. As though all the drama and war and politics of the world of Westeros would suddenly just stop the moment the show ends.
