That was phenomenal white knuckle television. The score was insanely perfect . So much tension. A+. I am blown away . Exceeded expectations by a factor of 10.

Every single hater can blow me.

Arya gave Sansa a dragon glass knive/dagger. It was obvious since we see it clearly when Sansa and Tyrion are hiding behind that casket.

Got it, thanks. I just assumes it was the dagger at the beginning since she pulled it out of where she usually kept the V Steel.

Obviously need to rewatch tomorrow

3 blades in play: that’s why they kept going back to Jorah and Jon. 2 blades...but where is the third?

The NK knew at the last second Bran was setting him up. That’s why he looked off to the side and backed up slightly. Bran knew all along Arya was there and helped her get in position via worging. Presumably Theon also did so unknowingly (perhaps even knowingly).

You’re trying to justify piss poor writing

The assassin that came to kill Bran when he was in bed recovering from his fall has the VS dagger. Cut Catelyn’s hands with it when she grabbed it.

But how does Arya have it?

Before Theon charged the NK I thought he would stand his ground. Right as the NK goes to strike him down Jon comes in with Longclaw and blocks it and they fight. We all wanted to see them go at it. Even if Arya still strikes the death blow it would have been fitting for them to fight.

Or Jon could have called out the NK on the battlefield and see if he would step up.

Loved the battle overall. Figured more would die. I got tired of this one or that one getting knocked down or overrun only to see them a second later saved or just still fighting.

Too damn dark though. I got so confused during the dragon fights and early battle.

Did Gilly get skullfricked in the crypt? I don’t remember seeing her at the end. I hope she died

books that go out of their way to upend traditional fantasy tropes? The ones that never once make the Night King the final bad they must defeat? The ones that D&D correctly guessed the ending to?

Thought they guessed who would sit the throne. Badass episode and ok with a badass like Arya taking down the night king. In the post show they said they’ve known it would be her for 3 years. That Jon wouldn’t be right for “US”. Fat man may still have other plans for the night king. They’ve been given creative flexibility so everything isn’t set for the books.

It’s over just like that?

Uhhh no? There’s still half the season left. It’s called game of thrones for a reason, not game of fight the white walkers

Huh? I’m usually critical of bad writing but this we pretty obvious imo.

Arya was set up from day one to do this. It’s prettt clear Bran was worging to help her get in position - either wights or was guiding her with the crows.

I have the bar set low for Howland Reed appearing in Season 8. Bran was like “oh bye Meera, beeboopbebooboop” before she departed back to Greywater Watch.

I also have to know if Dany and Arya have taken Westerosi pregnancy tests yet.

Wouldn't of killed him you are right, but would of helped out Jon and Dany a ton not have to fight Vis.

You still haven't shown where Bran can even warg the dead. So your point is moot.

Same.

Arya killing the NK makes sense for a plot point. She's a trained assassin and all. They built the army of the dead for eight years now. It all should have worked. It was executed well on screen. It should have been easy to love. Yet, I'm left having it feel just a bit hollow.
