Yeah maybe, but you don't have to be a dick about it.

in other words I've never read the books, is there anything in them that says why the white walkers come down

Dang guys I was just busting some balls. Calm down

I just have to accept it as stupidity from the show, just like I had to accept Littlefinger marrying Sansa off to the Bastard of fricking Bolton.
But I can accept this to an extent. Don't get me wrong, there are criticisms that are valid, but I can buy Littlefinger trying to gain control of the north through Sansa and the Vale through Robin. That doesn't mean it's the best way, but I do follow his logic.
I'm not sure what Sam plans to do with the sword, even if he knows it has the power to kill Walkers. I do agree it will likely be addressed, but did they really need that sword? And yes, it seems reasonable to expect papa Tarly to have him killed before he reached the Citadel.

The BB thread is there for this.

it wasn't that long ago, if you are looking at how many episodes have passed since he took it. I highly doubt we don't see heartsbane again
See, it sorta bugs me that the show is kinda forcing us to figure out answers to what seem like plot holes. I don't feel like we would be contorting ourselves if it were written better.

He is Jons Bannerman now. Jon could easily replace him with someone else as head of the Vale.
No he isn't, the Vale is its own section in Westeros. They are allies (and with LF as the head of the Vale that is a very loose term) but they are technically equals when it comes to the Seven Kingdoms.

Ehh... I definitely think there are unfair criticisms. For example, I don't have any issue with Dragonstone being abandoned.

Maybe on paper, but the north has followed house Stark for generations, nobody is going to pledge shite to Little Finger.

Yeah, we prefer straight up aggression. If you're gonna be an arse, be a straightforward arse!

Oh, I don't think a single person trusts LF enough to pledge to him, I'm just saying that the Vale and the North were two of the Seven Kingdoms that Aegon the Conqueror made bend the knee.

Oh so now we're supposed to believe what Littlefinger says all of the sudden?
The same Littlefinger who is responsible in one way or another for this whole shite starting up. War of the Five Kings, Jon Arryn's death, Ned Stark's death, etc.

Also, when did he say he declared for Jon? Cause I don't remember that.

Not exactly because Jon is a king and the vale has pledged loyalty to the king of the north and not the iron throne.

No, they pledged fealty to him. The Vale Lords wanted to join the Starks in the War of the Five Kings, but LF was secretely pulling the strings to make sure they didn't.

He didn't for Jon, he told Sansa at the tree that he declared for house Stark.
