Considering how large Dany's fleet was at the season 6 finale, I'd say it's possible Dorne sent over at least a few ships.

Actually, if you re-watch that finale and pay attention to the sails, there are ships from Dorne and Highgarden in the fleet.

Dorne:

Highgarden:

Yea that part doesn't make much sense. Jaime knows where they're likely to land, they know they're coming, but don't send any men to dragonstone...meanwhile the Beatles get sent to the river lands within days of the Frey slaughter

Got a chance to step frame by frame through the S7E2 trailer. One thing I didn't catch live was it looks like between seconds 14 and 15 one of the Sand Snakes (Tyene because of the daggers? Face is kind of blurry because of the motion and the hair is down) attacking someone. Leads me to believe that Ellaria and the rest of the Sand snakes could be the target of Euron? Who else would she be trying to stab/fight off? Are the Dorne forces already at Dragonstone or will the fleet have to now leave Dragonstone and go pick them up?
Yara is making out with Ellaria in the teaser, no?

or just give it to someone to forgive some of their debt they talked about for 3 season.

Takes a lot of resources to run something of that size, and it's on an island with no natural resources.

it comes with no lands, it's a barren island

stannis actually feels insulted about being rewarded with dragonstone.

also for it to hold any value as a military installation you need a large fleet of ships...and those are in short supply especially after the blackwater. with everyone surrounding them it's a total waste of resources to man the castle and offers nothing

now if you're an invading queen named Targaryen and you have the ability to wage war from the skies as well as the seas...it's quite valuable. in the books though cerseii sends an army to kill the remaining garrison and retake the castle, but it holds a unique value to dany and seemingly no one else except perhaps the greyjoys.

At this point would he have given the dream to the original Targaryen that caused them to leave Valyria and move to Dragonstone? What about Rhaegar? Did he whisper to Rhaegar that shacking up with Lyanna would be a good idea?

Think you may be onto something...

I know an army in the north that values the natural resources on dragonstone more than gold

No natural resources that they know of. Dragonglass mining is about to become a boom market.

It's hard to piece together the exact timeline, but the Lannister army is (a) basically depleted at this point, (b) has to defend KL and Casterly Rock from the Tyrells, and (c) was off dealing with Riverrun.

Jaime ended last season by just arriving at KL. If not a lot of time has passed, he may not have had time to do anything.

I started to say that, but is natural or was it made by the dragons in the past?

again, no one knows that is there, and outside of the north no one even knows of the need for dragon glass.

All that is understandable BUT its not like Dany / Dragons or her intentions are unknown at this point. Seems an easy choice for a Lannister to put up some sort of defense or plan there - maybe load it with the stashes of wildfire - anything other than give it to the person who can use it best without any sort of resistance.

I think someone even said she was most likely going to head there. Just feels weak to me.

and Samwell tarly is the only person who knows it is there while understanding the present need for it.

given the current political dynamics it's 100% believable that it's currently unoccupied.

Can somebody explain to me what happens when winter comes? Do all the white walkers come during winter? In times past when winter came, how did they defeat the white walkers?

This is why time travel is trash. Suddenly everything can be answered with "because Bran."

I liked a story where the villains were responsible for their own actions. The idea that Bran could have influenced every villain for generations means that all of the dislike for people like Joffrey, and Ramsay, and Cersei, and Aerys, and Viserys is all potentially invalid.

The wall never broke in the prior winters so they stayed in the north is my understanding.
