It would be some shite if somehow Bran caused the mad King to go madder and start shouting Burn them all. But instead of talking about the people of king's landing, he was talking about the White Walkers

There has to be some tie in with the Mad King, burn them all, and white walkers. Makes too much sense not too

Here's what Aerys said to his Pyromancer that night, who he had already actively rigged King's Landing to blow at that point:

quote:

The traitors want my city ... but I’ll give them naught but ashes. Let Robert be king over charred bones and cooked meat.

It just makes sense for what it is. Aerys was prone to madness, did some fricked up shite, was abducted, and then driven insane. Bran should have nothing to do with this.

No, bitching is bitching, and you were bitching like a little bitch. You still are.

GFY.

It would essentially call into question everything that happens in the history of the story. GRRM wrote an incredibly complex backstory that would essentially be reduced to "IDK maybe Bran did it?" For everything that has happened.

At this point would he have given the dream to the original Targaryen that caused them to leave Valyria and move to Dragonstone? What about Rhaegar? Did he whisper to Rhaegar that shacking up with Lyanna would be a good idea?

All I know is that there must always be a Stark in Winterfell.

Agreed. The writers are trying to force a split between Sansa and Jon and almost make it seem like Sansa has a better head on her shoulders. If you watch the behind the episode they imply that Jon should listen to Sansa more. However I agree with Jon on both things they disagreed on.
quote:

I think it's more so to emphasize Sansa has been through enough shite that she can provide a little insight. I don't think it's unnatural for them to have a little conflict.

Throughout the series, the Starks have been honorable, to a fault. Ned, Robb and John......

Sansa, through her exposure to the Lannisters and little finger has learned a certain amount of cunning and treachery. The Starks would be better served to head her admonisions from time to time.

This is consistent with one of the recurring themes of GRRM. nothing is all black or all white. Everything is a shade of gray. There is good and bad in all.

Arya was reminded of this when she met the Lanister party roadside. they are just ordinary men serving their lord, as expected.

they pretty much telegraphed it with Marwyns speech

And the Hound's vision showed us where at least one breach will occur.

Sansa still is whipped by Cersai. She is experienced and smart but still doesn't know how to lead. That is basically what we saw.

Shes not very smart if she thinks Cersei is bringing any army to Winterfell.

Snsa NEVER said Cersei will bring an army north. SHe said she will try to kill him. BIG difference. There are many ways for this to happen, as we have seen in the series.

Plus Sansa telling Jon that there's a wall between them and the army of the dead but nothing between them and Cersei.

How many times have we heard someone say the wall has been standing for thousands of years? The wall is coming down.

With the WW bearing down on the wall, quibbling over the umbers and karstarks ancestral homes isnt the hill to die on. And at Jon being insulated from treachery and deceit.

I mean they could send 20 dudes to Moat Cailin and stop an military invasion. I mean Cersei may try to have Jon assassinated, but the North has no resources to commit to a war with Cersei. So you garrison Cailin and let them be.

It seems like Jon will be way down on Cersei's list anyway.
