Yea im not going for that idea. I think the writers just wanted more drama. But about the dragon and white walker thing, we may have a continuity issue there. The white walker turns living things into other white walkers by touching them. He turns dead things into wight zombies by just doing his rise up hands. So either the writers forgot all he needed to do was the rise up motion or they just wanted to add extra effect by touching the dragon to make him a wight. The dragon was def dead so if we are following the rules, the dragon should be a wight zombie like the polar bear, and not a free thinking white walker dragon. The question is, can bran control a wight or a white walker? We havent seen him do either.

Have we seen them make any animal wights besides the dragon? Maybe he has to touch them

We haven't seen it, but I assume he touched the horses, bear, and Giants (if you consider them animals, not really "men"). Those beasts were obviously dead with blue eyes. Yes, some horses have their eyes covered, but some have been blue-eyed.

That's not the kind of incest I'm interested in seeing.

Completely unrelated to anything we have been talking about in this thread...
Everyone seems to assume that the song of ice and fire is about a stark (ice) and a Targaryen (fire). Is it possible that the ice is the white walkers and the long winter and the fire is just the targaryens and dragons?
I get it that the starks are the kings of winter and the lords of the north but other than their sword being called ice, which no longer exists, how are they the ice in the formula?
I think that the white walkers are much more representative of ice given that they bring the cold and long winter with them.

Well, in the books at least the guy in the House of the Undying who appeared to be Rhaegar said something like "His is the Song of Ice and Fire" while referring to a baby. Many have assumed that to be a refer exclusively to Jon. Also, I think Dany had a vision of a blue rose growing in the wall which I'm not sure what that signifies but I'm guessing it's more likely to be Lyanna's son than the Night King.

the blue rose signified Lyanna and Rhaegars relationship so it being at the wall was definitely meant to signify Jon

How's that for some fanfic?
A little outlandish, and no rape so OML is bound to be disappointed.

Why is there a thread on the season finale that is 14 pages long and it is only Thursday? You people could not discuss the previous 6 seasons and 6 episodes on one of the many other threads? The OP started this one on Monday right? Really? So once the episode in the OP subject line actually airs this thread will be up to what 30+ pages..?
Oh my sweet summer child.

I think Ned will be sent to the Wall quite honestly. No way they kill off Sean Bean in the first season.
He's definitely got to die at some point though. I mean, it's Sean Bean.

Fortunately for me I get a kick out of the fact that most of you need your own attention thread, but what is BS is we have a 14+ page thread discussing the history of GoT when the OP title clearly says S7 E7. Believe it or not, there are many that actually like to discuss the actual episode and not have to filter through pages of BS speculation.

Yeah, I wasn't seeking it. Was talking to a guy after the last leak, after having seen it but before the official Sunday release- we both had seen it.
I speculated a bit about what might happen, and he said "actually, I read that _____ happens" before I could cut him off.
He could have been fricking around with me, but it was definitely a surprising bit, something I haven't seen even speculated about (so the only thing I've heard isn't making the rounds). It does make sense, once considered, but nobody has gone there... which does concern me a little.
I will NOT post it.
