Next week is 8 and I assume they need to do a decent bit more set-up, yet the North isn't mentioned at all in the episode description.

I'm pretty sure it'll be episode 9. That is when they always have the big battles (except for last year when they had Hardhome in episode 8).

Speaking of Hardhome. The guy who directed that episode, Miguel Sapochnik, is directing the last 2 episodes of this season.
Also the last 3 episodes are going to be the 3 longest of the season with the finale being the longest episode in the whole series to date.

She likes being assertive and won't accept being stuck in steerage. She's been carted around as a slave or prisoner for years and she's not going to accept it anymore if she can help it, which she can.

100% OPINION. I love when people give us the inner thoughts of the characters...

That's good to know since it seems like every episode has been about 45 minutes.

100% OPINION.
No shite, just like the point I was refuting. Most people can figure that out without me having to put "imo" at the end of every sentence.

As for the facts, it's not out of character for her to want a cabin, seeing as how she's the daughter of a lord and has enjoyed better accommodations when she wasn't either a prisoner, slave or servant. She even had a cabin for her trip to Braavos.

She obviously has the ability to get the money she needs to travel in comfort, so why wouldn't she want to?

Better?

Unfortunately I don't think we get anymore setup for the Battle of the Bastards. We might get one more meeting between Sansa & LF, but that is probably it. Jon and Davos seemed to make their mind up in the last episode to march on Winterfell with the army they have. That is why Sansa decided to write her letter, knowing that Jon's army isn't big enough to take on the Boltons without the Vale. I don't know what else needs to be setup.

There is at least one more bit of setup I think we may see. But my opinion is based on casting news so I'll leave it at that.

Just seems weird to me to have Jon march on Winterfell and get there to fight only have the Knights of the Vale show up without him having any warning.

Also no Frey Pie or Manderly.

I'm with you on that. Maybe Sansa ends up telling Jon, I don't know. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense for her to be pulling LF into the mix without giving Jon a heads up.

Maybe all of that happens with the Frey storyline next season or something? It seems we are running out of time to have it go in now if it is part of the Battle of the Bastards storyline.

I have a hard time believing they're going to wrap this show up in 14 episodes after this season.

Yeah, I'm with you. They are going to have to force closure on a bunch of storylines, and cut out some of the really complex stuff that GRRM may have planned (like they did with fAegon).

I disagree, to me this season has really started to feel like the end is near.
