What if it is to Sweet Robbyn? He would certainly want a "reward."

He's already stated that she is his cousin, and that they should help her (although she didn't hear him say it). But why would she think that he would want a reward?

You really think Sansa would have sent him the letter?

She had to, because if I am not mistaken, she doesn't know that LF has control of the army at this point

Well that scene in S2 was gross and how she played along with it .

Well, yeah. They're going to die otherwise, and LF's numbers are vastly superior to the Boltons. I don't think she has any other choice, although I'm certain he'll betray them when it's all said and done.

So this episode features the writer's favorite sequence in 6 seasons of this show so far.

Had to be the Arya scene. I think we're gonna look back and appreciate it a lot more once we figure out the ruse.
I assumed it was Lady Mormont.

Shes too smart to act that careless.

Something funky is up.

I think this could be the first chess move Sansa has made yet, if she wrote it to Robbyn. In the scene with Lord Royce (See here) Littlefinger uses his close relationship with Robbyn and Robbyn's affection for Sansa to move the Knights from the Vale, and also relate to Lord Royce who is control. If Sansa writes Robbyn promising him a "reward", i.e. her hand in marriage, she could be playing a good game. She brings Robbyn under her wing and out from Littlefingers and she solidifies herself a new, strong home if they win. I would love to see a scene with Royce showing Robbyn the letter and Littlefinger advising a cautious approach, like waiting for the BoB to commence and come in the end as a saviour. All the meantime Royce is needling him about the Vale's duty to Family and Robbyn's decree to move the troops in promise to protect Sansa. It would make for a good scene to see him squirm a little.

Again, that would require Sansa to play chess and Littlefinger to fall asleep at the wheel a bit.

ETA: Sansa also has a really nice trump card with Robbyn against Littlefinger. Robbyn is head over heals for Sansa and impetuous. If Sansa explains to him Littlefinger sold her to the Ramsey and the things he did to her, Littlefinger would probably be moonwalking out the moondoor.

Unless you all have read leaks, I think y'all (not you specifically blue) are in la la land in regards to Arya and the waif.

What we saw was exactly what happened. The waif thinks she's dead, but Arya will survive
That was my first instinct, despite what would normally be a slow death sentence for a person living in that equivalent time period. It's TV, so they have to overdo it for the suspense factor.

Anyway, I watched it again, and the waif stabs her a bit too low for it to be a liver wound. It looks like she got her in the stomach and intestines. It's still not good, but as long as we're over-analyzing the scene, it's still not as bad as getting stabbed in the liver.

It makes sense from one perspective. LF is obviously a power hungry a-hole that has betrayed her already. I don't think you would want to owe him anything. Robbyn certainly has affection for Sansa, if she makes an appeal directly to him then she won't owe LF anything.

It also might undermine LF's position of power in the Vale if Robbyn asserts himself. The reward seems to one of those vague enticements. It isn't as she needs to promise LF a reward either, he only acts in his self interest anyway. Therefore anything LF does is calculated to result in a reward for himself.

Its kind of bullshite - the waif would have known how to deliver a killing blow. Whole scene felt kinda weak to me personally but that unfortunately is pretty standard for Arya's storyline the past few seasons. Only really delivered in a few episodes.

Personally I don't think it matters all that much if she sent the letter to SR or not, since LF will read it regardless and want to use the army.

I think you need to rewatch the scene. The Waif stabs her in the gut like a fricking champ.

If the Waif were a true professional she would have slit her throat instead of going for the gut. Plenty of people survive that, while no one survives having their neck slit open.

Arya spun away before the neck shot. I thought it was a pretty violent attack. Certainly one that would end in death.

Jaqen told her make it quick. She stabbed her in the gut to give her a painful long drawn death. The waif is a professional.

I'm just hoping the Waif dies in E8 and we see Arya sail back to Westeros.
