Heirs aren't so important in Pike. Hence the Kingsmoot

And Meera Reed

Martin has made a couple of cryptic comments about all of the clever readers who are so sure they know what happened at the ToJ. I've always taken that as referring to Dayne's fate but a second baby fits just as well. I'd link the comments but I've never figured out how to navigate the So Spake Martin website.

I wonder if Theon will be Ramsay's gift? That way, he can be given back to Ramsay and people loyal to the Starks will think they are doing the right thing.

Who was the person at the 3eyed Raven lair? The snake looking lady.

I don't remember her.

Here's my prediction: there will be a King's Moot which will be decided by midseason. By the end of the season, Tyrion will be leading the defense of Meereen against Yunkai; Dany will be leading the Khalasar back to Myreen with Drogon, Sir Friendzone, and Sonny; Yara and/or Euron will be with the Iron Fleet fighting the Yunkai to break the blockade around Meereen; The Boltons will all be dead; Kings Landing will be under siege by the Dornish; ect.

Pretty sure that was supposed to be Leaf, one of the children of the forest, now played by a new actress. To me this new version looks like some kind of debutante or sorority sister after a particularly wild post cotillion/formal ball.

Unless I missed something somewhere Tommen is still married to Margaery and Jaime is still in the Kingsguard.

I believe we have not seen the last of Meera Reed nor understand yet the importance of her in the saga.

I think the last episode made that extremely clear.

Literally could not have been more clear. They might as well have had this music playing in the background:

The only problem with Meera being Jon's twin and R+L=J&M though, is that she has really done next to nothing throughout either the books or the show up to this point. Contrast that to characters like Jon and Danny and Tyrion. Heck even on the journey to the tree with Bran, Jojen seemed to play a more vital role with his green-seeing.

I'm not sure what could be accomplished by a reveal like that.

She got a cripple, a sickly kid and a giant retard to the Three Eyed Raven. With help from a wolf and a dead guy. She has done plenty.

I am really not a fan of this theory, at all. Meera simply hasn't been developed nearly enough for that theory to be satisfying if it pays off. It would be almost as cheap as FAegon suddenly appearing out of nowhere in book 5 and being a major player in the endgame for realzies.

I scanned through the thread and noted the discussion RE: Tyrion being a possible Targ but it seems to me you can't raise that possibility without first thinking that the Jaime and Cersi twins are a more obvious fit.

There is madness in their line (Joffrey obviously and perhaps Cersi) and the light hair of the Targs (and tendency for incest) seem consistent as well. BTW this would make both Tyrion and Jaime kinslayers since Tyrion killing his father and Jaime killing his king would both be acts of kin slaying.

Second comment - is Hodor a Rainman = Raymond like issue in reverse? He's trying to get something traumatic out - something that he saw and struck normal speech from him?

I've been a fan of the Jon and Meera theory forever. Love that you're into it, too.

ETA: The way they cut to Meera after the conversation was interesting, too. They made her important on purpose.
