I just dont get that sense at all, from any of the Starks - not Jon, Sansa, Arya, Bran

none of them really have sought power - but they will go to war over stability, safety, security, calm and order

I dont see any power struggle between Jon and Sansa

all Jon wants now is to rally every man in the 7 kingdoms, defeat the white walkers and return to oblivion, live out his days in anonymity. That is his only focus, I dont think he wants to lead anything, ever

Sansa just wants peace in her life

I agree. Sansa wanted revenge against Ramsay and she got that. I think they just want to be left alone in the north and they have no desire for the iron throne. Will be interesting to see how she reacts to Jon after they finding out who is parents are. I'd hope she realizes that he is still family(cousins) and nothing changes. Once again, I don't think Jon would try to claim the throne even after he realizes he has a legit claim to it

I agree. Everyone just assumes everyone wants power

From all that Sansas been through, for once in a long time she probably feels safe and finally back at home. Why not sit back and relax and enjoy some RnR while your half bro/uncle does all the work?

Because this is GoT. Do you think the stare down between her and LF was for no reason? He was basically telling her that she's already falling behind, and if she doesn't act quick she will have no claim / support in the north.

Guys and gals, I'm not very good with all the bloodlines and intertwining rightful heirs.

The Mad King has two children that I know of, Dany and Rhaegar? Rhaegar and Lyanna have a child, Lyanna is Ned Stark's sister. Ned promises to take Lyanna's bastard son and protect him from Robert Baratheon because Robert Baratheon and Lyanna Stark had an arranged marriage and Robert loved Lyanna dearly, but Lyanna and Rhaegar were actually in love with each other.

The bastard son is Jon Snow. Dany is Jon Snow's aunt. How does this play in the game, though? Does this give Dany the right?

I'd like to think Sansa was very satisfied and not jealous when Little Lady Mormont was stealing the scene when everyone pledged to House Stark and Jon. I think this is what Sansa wants...she is pleased that Jon is now the Warden of the North because she believes he will be the best leader.

Littlefinger got friend zoned, and I think that Littlefinger...for now...sees this as them being even. He sold her to Ramsay Bolton and after that horror, he helped Jon and Sansa take back Winterfell and after Sansa denies his proposal, I think Littlefinger accepts that as them being even or him atoning for the disaster that was Ramsay Bolton.

I'm not sure why Arya killed Lord Frey...unless I'm just not remembering something significant.

Arya killed Frey because of the red wedding. He killed her mother and brother.

Does anybody remember Arya's list and who all is left alive from it?

Absolutely not. He wants to sit on the Iron Throne as he said. Jon leading the North (including the Vale) eliminates any possibility of LF on the throne.

And this what separates the starks from any of the other families. The other families kill each other, are shite to each other, but the Starks don't go that route.

No. He got burned when he grabbed a lantern in season one fighting the wight at Castle Black.

No.

God. Damnit.

This isn't hard.

I like how you say it's not hard, then link some insane image of family lineage in GoT

Once you put it out in a chart like that it's readable and makes sense. Without that, it's really tough to keep up with all of the relations.

Exactly, not sure why many are complaining about that.

They don't really say or insinuate whether it's 2 days or 2 months between some scenes. No biggie really.

Will anything really change(in the sense of titles) for Jon if he eventually finds out? While his parents will be both known and they are of high order, he still is a bastard child. Maybe the rules are different in this scenario and having not read the books it's possible. Rheager was married at the time and I don't recall anything ever being stated about his wife and any divorce/death.. At this point, the only good the targyrian name provides him is a possible relationship to the mystical side of the world..

It isn't for sure that Rheager and Lyanna weren't married. They could have been in the eyes of the Targyrians. The Targyrians practiced plural marriages.

Awesome episode- I can't say enough.

Did anyone else notice this week's version of Jon's floppy sword? When Danny is saying goodbye to Daario he's drinking a glass of wine; in one scene it's 3/4 full as he puts it to his lips for a sip and in the next scene he's setting it on the table and it's 1/8 full. No way he could have drunk that much.

I can't link Youtube from work, but as much fun as folks had with Jon's floppy sword I though some of you would get a kick out of this...
