That tidbit is all that's needed to make this whole.. I want to think that Lyanna told Ned this exactly as you could t here what was being said early on in the whispers.. His look was so shocking that it could easily have gone beyond simply talking about a baby..

Don't know if it's been covered yet but how would anyone be able to prove that Jon Snow is a Targaryen?
The only people that knew the truth are all dead now right (except for maybe Howland Reed)? Why would anyone believe Bran Stark saying that he saw it in a time travelling vision?

Benjin, possibly. Doubt he appears south of the wall ever again, though.
Howland Reed is the best bet.

Didn't he say that he couldn't... because of some ancient spells or something?
But even then how would Benjin know? I thought the only people left alive after the Tower of Joy were Howland Reed and Ned Stark. Now only Howland remains.

Right, but that spell may be broken if Bran goes south of the wall

Well we know something is going to happen to break that spell... otherwise the WW army wouldn't make it south of the wall.

He'll stay on the fringe of the walkers and as they go south, so will Benjen.. I don't think we've seen the last of him, my only concern is him turning full on white walker at some point.. Maybe as one of the generals as they were made from man and not reanimated.

They couldn't go into the 3 eyed ravens place of establishment until Bran was marked.
There's some kind of magic on the wall. I assume the same magic that was on the 3 eyed ravens crib

The nights watch was primarily concerned with the Wildlings.. Very few even acknowledge the walkers at this point.

The purpose of the Nights Watch was to protect against wildlings.

I think a long time ago the NW knew about walkers. Didn't Sam start digging through some of the old books to find info about them?
It seems like maybe in the beginning of the Nights Watch they might have battled the walkers but over time everyone forgot about them and the primary mission of the NW was to keep wildlings in check.

On yeah. True.. I forgot about them

That's my question as well. Someone (probably Howland) would have to step forward to verify it.
But, revealing this does not help Bran so that would help. Bran is a Stark with a claim to the throne and revealing Jon to be Stark/Targaryen would push him down the line.
Also, the whole story of Jon being Ned's bastard son is completely out of character for Ned.

But did they mess up with Varys in Dorne and somehow teleported to being on a ship with Dany/Tyrian? Anyone else caught that?

Where was Sam? What library was that?
Posted on 6/27/16 at 9:38 am to Uncle JackD
Isn't that what they call The Citadel where the maesters learn to be maesters?
Posted on 6/27/16 at 9:38 am to Uncle JackD
That was the Citadel in Oldtown... where maesters are trained.
