Yeah, I've read that one already. A lot of that stuff I could've come up with which is why I think it fan fiction, although a lot of it will probably come true since a lot of it seems pretty plausible.

Easy answer is that he was simply killed when ranging. easily explainable. We don't know of anything particular special about him, so why not?
My personal believe is he has been ranging in the land of always winter. He will return with the knowledge a revived Jon Snow (Targaryen?) needs in order to defeat the others and save the realm.

He could be in Asshai at this point with all the rowing he's done.

He's going to be so ripped....

Who is it generally assumed has the strongest claim to the iron throne right now: Aegon, or Gendry? Aegon would be the answer if you do not accept the validity of Baratheon royalty, but if you are down with Robert's Rebellion, would Gendry have the strongest claim, or does his bastardhood eliminate him making Stannis the rightful heir?

This I think. He could be legitimized as a Baratheon but I think it would have to be a royal decree, which ain't happening.

We need an all Gendry and Hodor episode.

I still have 300 pages left in ADWD so I haven't gotten there yet. Interesting.

shite your right. We learned that process with Ramses.
Off topic, but in Robb's last days, did he just make Jon his heir to the North and Winterfell, or did he legitimize Jon as a Stark by decree?

This is probably all fan fiction but parts of it sound awesome: LINK /

He is alive in the books still about to go to war with Ramsey, but on the show he is dead.

He legitimized Jon as a Stark and made Jon the King in the North. He also willed him Winterfell. Do yourself a favor and look up the great Northern Conspiracy. It will blow your mind.
