He's clearly without question the worst father on the show, and I can't think of a worse one on the top of my head.

So what does everyone think about whether or not Dany stays separated from Tyrion for next season? I've said it several times already, but that will piss me of since they just brought them together.
And was anyone else surprised that spears can easily penetrate dragon scales on the show? They are near as invincible as I originally thought.

It seems like the "others" have some will and control of their actions. I can't see Stannis going that route. Maybe as a Wight, but at best he dies in battle, at worst he becomes a contender for the throne. It will be a long time before the WW come back to the story.
Why can't you see Stannis going that route after this episode? He burnt his daughter alive for the sake of power. If he would murder his own flesh and blood so brutally for this, he'd surely ally himself with anything that came his way. I think most of his men abandon him, he finds out about Jon Snow's true heritage, he gets pissed, and then he is given an army by the Others and will be king through them, even if he sells his own soul in the process.
Stannis in the show will be the ultimate enemy. He made every other character look like saints in comparison.

I agree.
Season 1 I was a Hodor and that was the fiurst year and had book readers helped build the interest in the show. Then after a while it went hardline. Season 2 and 3 were really bad, but now there is only one thing we know that they don't and that should happen next Sunday.

Well if Samwell were burned at the stake rather than taking the black I would agree.
Craster was/is worse than Stannis though.

Tyrion? The whole time I kept asking the screen what about the other two dragons you have locked up?
I hope the Harpies didn't kill them.

I don't see it, but that would make up a good villain story. Rather than be the "chose one" he will lead the darkness instead./

Sams dad told him he would kill him rather than let him be his heir. ...there was no greater good behind it. Just, "i dont want fat grandkids "

Jesus, you know how hard it is to make an actor ride a flying dragon look real and not ridiculous?!?? It's fricking impossible!
The CGI in that scene was awful. It looked like she was riding Falcor from a Neverending Story.

Those spears didn't seem to slow Drogon down, just piss him off. What did you expect? The spears to just bounce off?

I thought some of the acting during the Dany storyline was clunky.
Dany's lover and Bronn almost seem like the same character to me in some ways.
Figured Drogon would burn some more people but I guess he is still learning about his power like Dany. Seemed like he would be a touch bigger also.
Ready to see Tyrion and Dany talking again about political topics.

What a shitty episode. Shireen change sucks and takes away pretty much the only redeeming quality of Stannis. He's pretty much a bad guy now. Was the best portrayal of Dorne though. (Was still pretty meh, but it didn't suck terribly like the others) Fighting pit was a big disappointment. It wasn't bad, but I just wasn't impressed. Drogon was getting stuck like a pig and Dany take a minute and a half to climb the poor beast. Also, the Unsullied are severely misrepresented in the show. You see fear in their eyes constantly and they get cut down by city folk with daggers. Hopefully 10 is on par with 8.

Those spears were pretty deep. I would think by how deep they were if they would've been on his underside they could've easily pierced his heart. In most stories with dragons, their scales are using hard enough to deflect arrows and spears. But those spears looked to be going a foot or more into him.

Because he had sex with his daughters? Horrible yes, but they never had any inkling that there was any love and trust among them. What higher betrayal could there be than burning your own flesh and blood at the stake when she's been nothing but good and supportive to you? I don't think there is a single more evil act than that. Stannis is worse than Craster.

Giving everyone of your newborn sons to the army of the dead is pretty bad too

Sexing up his daughters against their will, and then sacrificing his male new borns to the the White Walkers.
