Ok. Here's my crackpot theory for this particular episode:
- Ramsey does horrible stuff to Sansa which includes some disfigurement of her neck/face area giving her a Lady Stoneheart-esque look. She doesn't die but is badly hurt. (At this point all those who have been up in arms over Sansa's story-line throw things through their t.v. screens)
- Theon/Reek can't stand it anymore and through heroic efforts get's Sansa to the battlement and they jump off into the snow where she takes even more damage.
- They come across Pod and Brienne and Theon/Reek, Pod and Brienne manage to get Sansa to Stannis' siege lines which are not far away and they are brought before Stannis.
- Stannis thanks them and then promptly burns Theon/Reek. Sansa dies from her injuries. Melissandre finally figures out from looking into the flames that Stannis ain't no-way no-how any type of promised one or Azor Ahai or anything of the sort but that Jon Snow is likely one or all of these.
- Melissandre brings Sansa back to life as Lady Sansaheart. Either Mel, Selyse, Brienne, Ramsey or Lady Sansaheart kills Stannis.
- Melissandre gets away from the battle and gets on her way to Castle Black. Lady Sansaheart and her crew (Brienne, Pod, stray members of Stannis' army, etc.) start their guerrilla/terrorist war against the Boltons and any stray Frey's and Lannisters they might come across.
- No FTW this season.

To be fair, given his small and seemingly useless role in the story so far and how much that kid has probably grown since we saw him last, we would probably all have an issue recognizing him

I think Rickon only exists to keep the Stark name alive through the male line. Bran will become a tree and Jon is a Targ.
