You can't be serious with this shite. Lay off that good chronic. Stannis is dead. Brieanne got a confession, passed the sentence, and swung the sword. You don't need to see his head come off.
There have been plenty of deaths on this show without showing the actual death.

You ended the episode on it and it was clearly the climatic moment of the season. Stannis dying, not so much. I don't think Brienne spared him, but I do think she was stabbed from behind. Stannis going down to Brienne after all he's done is bullshite. Brienne of everyone would give someone a clean death, and Stannis deserves the dirtiest one possible.

What's so definitive about it? We just saw Brienne start to bring the sword down. Someone could have easily killed her from behind. If Stannis is dead, it's by far the most vague one in the show yet.

But what does it do? It's just Stannis is dead and nothing else. Unless D&D or GRRM come out and directly say that Stannis is dead, I'm going with him being alive. I doubt he's dead.

They have killed people off screen. We have to let them stay dead because like I said, we only have two seasons left and some of those dead people staying alive would not further the story along. What needs to happen now is Brianne has killed Stannis, and her and Podrick come across Sansa running for her life. Sansa asks BRianne to take her to Jon at Castle Black, thereby uniting two story lines. Melisandra is able to bring him back to life, and all those assholes who stabbed him are immediately burned at the stake. Ramsey finds out Jon has Sansa with him and he marches towards the wall, where Jon and the wildlings kill Ramsey.

I just rewatched the Inside the Episode, and it's more ambiguous than I first thought. They said Brienne shows up to kill him and it's a relief for Stannis, but they kind of leave it at that.

I'm not saying Stannis is definitely dead or alive. There's more evidence that Jon Snow is dead than Stannis is though

There we go. I was thinking Ramsay may have done it, but he clearly survived their encounter. Maybe they just showed the scenes out of order to frick with us. Theon and Sansa showing up makes more sense.
