Did you not see Mel's countenance change the minute that the solders told Stannis that half his army deserted him. She knew at that moment that she was wrong about Stannis, and so did he. His punishment was knowing that he killed his family for absolutely nothing. He was a false usurper, and they both knew it. I think he marched to his death, and Brienne got her justice.

That's my thinking. They're going to kill Stannis off screen but let him burn his daughter on screen? LOGIC!

Yeah, but how often do we actually see people get their justice in this series. Especially in the show medium.

Joffery got a better than he deserved death. By the same token, many good characters received horrible fates... Jojen, Shireen, Ned, Rob, Jon.

Ever since I found out about Rhaegar and Lyanna being his parents "allegedly" I've hated him and them. They let the whole realm bleed because they were "in love" instead of letting her marry Robert. The Targaryens would still be around, all of the Starks would still be alive and the realm would be at peace had those two assholes not run away together.
THAT is why I hate Jon Snow and never want to see him become anything significant. I want him to just be a dirty bastard who died at the wall.

Well, so? Just because he is not Azor Ahai doesn't mean he's dead. Stannis has become just downright wicked in context of the universe.

Stannis having a death like that doesn't really matter. I don't want him to be temporarily sad and defeated, I want him eternally damned for what he did. Stannis deserves the worst death in the series, not a clean one Brienne provides.
