no not really. just because a Targaryan has the right to the throne doesnt mean if one poped up Kings Landing is just going to up and change their allegiance.

I just dont get trying to make up stupid theories.

Lyanna says "Promise me, Ned" before she dies (presumably to take care of her son), and Ned comes home with a baby.

Say what? Lyanna has literally never been on the show. Where are you getting that information from?

This is why we can't have nice things..

I'm almost totally convinced of this. Why else would Ned find Lyanna in a bloody bed (presumably having given birth), Lyanna says "Promise me, Ned" before she dies (presumably to take care of her son), and Ned comes home with a baby.

What episode is that?

It's from the back of the book. So it's past Hodor level knowledge

And no I'm not a book reader but I've seen a YouTube video that explains all that without spoilers for the show....that's where all the Jon snow rumors come from.

was Ned betrothed to anyone prior to Kat?

Kat was his Brother's soon to be wife, but when he was killed, Ned had to Marry her to join with house tully so that he and robert had enough power to storm the mad king

Who was Ned'd girlfriend that Kat would have hated?

You damn sure seem to have an awful lot of "non-Hodor" knowledge.

And I'm not accusing anybody of anything, but there seem to potentially be shenanigans afoot around this mofo.

So basically, it's the books in video form?

I've heard minor things from my book reader friends unwillingly after they happen in the show but I never use any of that info in this thread. And I've been dead wrong plenty of times. Never opened a book in my life

Don't mistake me taking a hard stance in an argument for me having intimate knowledge of the books. You should know how I am from the HIMYM threads

Ehhh it's information from the back of the books about everything that happened before Game of Thrones began. It's not Hodor approved still, so I never use it in this thread. It really just makes everything that goes on in the show make a ton more sense. But it doesn't make you a book reader

More like Gendry is Roberts and Cersei's child.....Cersei wanted to mimic the Targaryens in having pure blood heirs....when Gendry was born, she knew he was Robert's so she and Jamie faked his death(she loves her children too much to kill them)...that's why Robert never acknowledge him, and his "mother"(random tavern whore) died at birth...but someone(lannister) was paying for his upbringing and apprenticeship.

Also, this sort of makes your "anti-super Hodor" rants a little bit funny since you are forming your opinions on all of this extra shite outside of the show (like book info from your friends, reading/watching vids from info from the books, etc.).

What jet posted is from the first book. In the show, I'm pretty sure Ned only mentioned that he was there when Lyanna died. This thread is iffy in what info is being shared and what has actually been shown on TV.

I've never formed an opinion about the show based on the little extra info I have and posted it here. I wasn't the one that brought up The Jon Snow theories, I was just telling you where Jet got that info from.

If I were a book reader I wouldn't have wasted a couple of hours of my life arguing in the episode 7 thread on why the Viper was going to win

I'll leave if you want me too though cokes

That was the genesis for my working out the theory.

Yea if all of this is true. I would be absolutely shocked if Jon was not Rhaegar and Lyanna's son.

I feel like I got spoiled a bit because of these comments coming out....

But it all adds up.

Ned was too honorable to cheat on his wife.

We don't know the true cause of her death. It could have been child birth.

Jon could still look like Ned, Not hard to resemble your Uncle.

He promised his sister on her death bed.(If the spolier shite you guys posted is true)

Ned lied and said the child was his because Robert would of had Jon killed with the rest of the Dragons.

How long will it take them to dig 8500 cubic feet of ice?

And what is anchoring all this so it pulls them up?

And for various reasons - everyone intersects with one or more of these characters, either by blood or what have you. Elia Martell might be the next most important "never seen character" - but her importance amped up this season because of the Viper.

Right, but someone is in here straight up quoting a person who has literally never been on the show, it sort of raises some red flags, no? That's all I'm saying.
