I am anticipating this episode more than any since the Red Wedding - I think "best finale yet" is not too high of an expectation.

I can't really recall much from any of the other finales. If they would have said it would be better than any of the previous seasons episode 9's, that would be impressive.

I think the goal was to have 3 "Ep. 9" stories to end this season - there are many simmering storylines - conflicts had to be resolved - Trial by Combat, Castle Black - both of those high energy sequences (in once case, an entire episode) - so for setup purposes, we will need to see Dany one more time (hopefully not at the very end - that was off-putting - I mean she's not really doing anything right now). However, there is so much going on - Ramsay/Theon, Brienne/Pod, Sandor/Arya, LF/Sansa, Stannis/Davos, the Lannisters at KL - 66 minutes divides out to only 11 minutes for each group - with Brienne and Pod being the least significant (currently). I assume it is possible for The Hound and Arya to intersect either LF/Sansa or Brienne/Pod, and the speculation is that Stannis and Davos are headed to The Wall (perhaps Melisandre as well) - so those story lines might intersect in the finale, as well.
But, I expect it will fly by fast...

I remember Dany slave surfing, I think the birth of the Dragons was a finale. Seems like the finales have been Dany heavy. Let's hope not for this one.

well i have a stupid friend who let out a spoiler WEEEEEEKS ago now which has yet to happen. so, it better happen sunday- if not, and you hear of some girl murdering another girl in conway ar then it's me.

Something crazy would have to happen because what she's been doing this season has been sleep inducing. I don't even have Jorah being friend zoned to laugh at anymore.

I was being optimistic. I think we'll get very little at Castle Black - I suspect that will be the finale/set up for next season. Maybe they'll get Dany and Jorah out of the way early and focus the middle hunk on King's Landing, and the Vale stories (they must intersect to a degree.)
