so Locke is sent off by Roose, to find Bran and Rickon and he'll receive land and titles. He heads to the wall buddies up with Jon and is now heading right for Bran. Was hoping Locke would be around for the Brienne/ Vargo nose bite but i dont see how this will happen

The show is now only superficially related to the books....I'm just going to enjoy the show as a stand alone work and stop comparing to the book.

I loved it. I'm loving the edge of the seat feeling like I had reading the books, in another media. I trust the show to knock it out the park. I'm good enjoying the ride.

Perfect foreshadowing with jon telling how Lord Commander Mormont was stabbed in the back by his own men.

Ok and we did see this guy with Roose in previous episodes, right? And we can assume Roose is sending him there to take care of Jon? Sorry if that was obvious and I missed it.

He's the guy that chopped off Jaime's hand. He was in the room when Theon told Roose he didn't kill the Stark boys. Honestly, I'm surprised he had a cover story. Pretty easy to say that Lord Tywin exiled him to the Wall for what he did to Jaime.

You're right! I didn't pit that together.

Locke was sent to the wall to look for Bran and Rickon. Now Locke is heading to Crasters where Bran is being held hostage.

Interesting....

When was Locke around to find out about Bran and Rickon? I think h is only there to kill Jon Snow for now.

I loved the White Walker/Other scene with the baby. No problem with that.

I'm just wondering how all these other story lines are gonna get resolved now. Where the hell is Coldhands?

Correct. Different mediums of art. Just enjoy both.

You're really overexagerating it. So long as we still get the big plot points, I'm not going to complain. It was kind of cool to see the Others, and honestly we know more about them as readers than we did previously. For instance, the Great Other (who that's what I'll be calling him until other evidence comes along), seemed to have on really regal attire, which seems to indicate that the Others actually have some form of society and hierarchy, and aren't necessarily just "kill everything" type of society.

I agree that it's the best thing to do, but these are major defections from the books ,all done in the name of timing and syncing up story lines.

That's all fine...but what I'm not okay with is that this is all a ploy IMO to get us used to seeing stuff that's not in the books . or more importantly, not in the books yet.

They are prepping us for the show to over come the books in a few short years.

I feel like a Hodor after after watching that.

Is Jon going to find Bran? That can't happen, right?

No, he's at worst case there to kill Jon. His primary mission is to kill Bran and Rickon.

And Locke was in the room when Reek told Roose about their survival, and Ramsay says at worst Locke could kill Jon Snow since he's a threat to them: LINK

So the question is...since Others can turn humans into Others is that a major hint to Benjens fate or who coldhands is? Or can they only do it to babies? I think this plot reveal by D&D was huge and had to have required George's say so.

Wow. I feel like, even as a Maester, I have no real idea what's going on in the show anymore. It's completely diverging from the books.
