It was actually. Creepy.

Finally caught up on it and they did the poisoning really well. I will be interested to see how they do the girl with the pig since there was neither a girl dwarf nor a pig in the scene.

Things of note:
-Iron Bank storyline is accelerating fast. Guessing they're going to have them offer Stannis an army before seasons end.
-Locke is going to get eaten by Shaggy Dog

From the other thread:

So did Cersei off Joffrey to remain Queen Regent?

Excellent. Now we need the purple face joff gif.

The actual death was legit and as expected, but the rest of the episode was pretty meh.
I thought the episode was pretty good all around. Got a little bit of Bran on the Weirwood Network, the Theon stuff with Ramsey was solid. The only part I didn't care for is them playing up Shae was the whore that was scorned, making Tyrion look like the bad guy. But that may have just been Hodor set up for them to questioned whether he legitimately poisoned Joffrey.

Some funny stuff in the other thread
quote:
So that wine was in front of Tyrion, right? Or was the pie poisoned?

It was the wine

So is Margery queen now?

Jamie's little speech to Margery's brother certainly hints at the possibility.

I mean no one should be dumb enough to think Tyrion poisoned him. Literally everyone was looking at him when he handled the cup.

My hodor head is asplode.

Agreed on all counts. The Bolton parts at the start were excellent, the death party was done well. Only thing I dislike is the making Shae look better than she should, and by consequence make Tyrion looks worse when he whacks her.

Yeah the Shae/Tyrion thing was a major miscalculation.
That was really poorly done.

I thought the episode was absolutely perfect except for Shae. The Roose Ramsay Reek scenes were fricking amazing, as well as Bran. Stannis contrasting to his batshit crazy wife was great too and will make the Hodors like him more--Stannis is a very tortured soul IMO and that was great how he was defending his daughter.

The only thing I can figure at this point is that it's more of a red herring for the Hodors that Tyrion may or may not be the poisoner.

I caught that too.
And how awesome was the Red Viper's interaction with Ceresi and Tywin.
Posted on 4/13/14 at 9:16 pm to BluegrassBelle
Red Viper insulted the frick out of them and the scene with Loras giving him eyes had me LOLing!!!

I'm a little behind, when Bran had his vision at the tree, they showed a bloody horse. Could that be ColdHands' mount, in lieu of the stag?
That's the first thing I thought too. But it went so fast it was hard to tell what it was.

Is this a fricking book reader in the Hodor thread or a lucky guess?
Posted on 4/13/14 at 9:17 pm to WhiskerBiscuitSlayer
Probably a lucky guess. They're throwing all kinds of shite at the wall and if they followed the clues as to where the cup traveled during that scene it wouldn't be hard to pin it on her. Especially with the focus on her talk with Sansa (and her fidgeting for that stone out of her necklace I'm sure we'll find missing in the next episode).

I don't like this either. Definitely portraying her as a much nicer version than in the books.
Yeah, its the one thing I didn't like about this episode. Every other scene was perfection.
