I could see Grey Worm going out in a glorious blaze, like killing 1-3 White Walkers. Will be interesting if we see any main characters as wights (Grey Worm, Hodor, anyone else that dies in episode 3).
I guess they'll just have use exposition to tell us what happened to the Last Hearth or anyone else living between the Wall and Winterfell.
I'm going through a rewatch now. At the House of the Undying Daenerys walked through the Red Keep but it was destroyed and full of snow. Bran saw a similar thing in a vision. Not sure if it's supposed to mean the White Walkers got that far or if there is another battle at King's Landing that takes place. Now that it's winter and there are dragons the scene could still make sense.
Also, what do we think Arya is running from? Are they really going to bring the Jaqen back to go after her or something?

Trailer was a little underwhelming. But they’re not showing anything at all, which is good

Could this possibly be where Jon learns to ride?
Plot twist.
Jon doesn't need a dragon to fly.

Maybe some wights, but does Grey Worm have any weapons to kill white walkers?

Valyrian Steel and Dragon Glass. The latter being mass produced since Season 7.

I presume Gendry and his team are forging dragonglass weapons for the everyone.

He will after our boy Gendry hooks him up

I think clearly Winterfell is a goner if the battle is episode 3. That’s going to be an intense episode.
But Rhaegal and Drogon both look to be flying north of the wall.

Maybe but half the season would likely be dedicated to the WW and the other half to finalizing everything for the Throne.
So an episode 3 final battle with the WW may be plausible.

Yeah, my memory sucks.

I'm willing to be it goes something like
1) Defenders hold them off
2) Just when we think Winterfell will be saved the Night King comes out with his dragon to surprise the defenders and push them back.
Fan theory: Going back to the visions of the Red Keep being destroyed and filled with ice and snow along with a dragon shadow flying over the city I wonder if the WW army is defeated so the Night King just flies on to King's Landing and attacks?

Really thinking the Dragon Scenes are a montage of "How to Train Your Dragon(rider)."

Good point.

Wasn’t it said in the books(I didn’t read them) that Arya’s dire wolf was raising its own massive dire wolf pack in the woods? Part of that scene showed animals running and it didn’t quite look like horse feet imo. Could it be the dire wolf pack?!?!

They really should include that.

Ghost may have failed to make an appearance in Season 7, but the series' visual effects supervisor, Joe Bauer, promised he’ll be back, telling Huffington Post, "Oh, you’ll see him again. He has a fair amount of screen time in Season 8."
quote:
Of Ghost, Bauer said, "He’s very present and does some pretty cool things in Season 8," so one can only hope the direwolf will assist in taking down the Night King, or maybe even take his rightful place on a pup-sized, doggy bed throne of his own.

I tried to watch it a few times and I’m torn in what type of animal is running and it’s driving me nuts
